Yeah,I heard those clips on the radio. The Next President thing was funny. Barack Omerica? wtf ? Sounds as if he got tongue twisted and jumped as best he could, before he stammered TOO long and ended up calling him Barack Osama!

It is not those who use the term "Islamo-Fascism" who are sullying the name of Islam; it is the Islamo-Fascists. - Dennis Prager

No it wasn't, from the start he was for a phased withdrawal over 16 months. Biden's also for a phased withdrawal.

Apparently, the White House now also supports this plan!

I think Obama just alienated a whole lot of his followers by picking Biden.

IF he alienated followers, it's highly unlikely that they'll turn to McCain, unless they were the Hillary-or-else types who were hoping she'd get on the ticket.

I don't think "a whole lot" of Obama followers are alienated by Biden's pick. It addresses the main point where Obama is said to be weak - foreign policy. Also, it addresses the whole "experience" thing quite handily. If it alienated anybody in the Democratic party, it's maybe those who grabbed on to Obama's message of "change" - and even they should realize that you have to have SOME insiders to effect that change. JFK wasn't able to do it, even with LBJ as his veep. It was only after JFK's death that LBJ was able to enact sweeping changes, always done, as LBJ was so fond of drawling, "in the memory of our beloved President."

Still, Biden's a wise choice because he can be an effective campaigner and he is a statesman of high standing

Agree. I suppose this means Kerry will probably be Secretary of State.

One could hope not... Hillary might make an effective SecState - if she can duck all the sniper fire, that is. :) I think the party is going to keep Kerry at arm's length, or further. Maybe he can hang out in Belarus with Phil Gramm.

but somewhere out there in Soros/MoveOn land there gotta be some un-happy people.

Nothing but praise on the liberal sites I frequent.

Yup, haven't seen the mass exodus from the party that so many Republicans were hoping for. I've heard a few people grumble that they might just stay home and not vote.

Gonna be an interesting convention, baby. TCB.

If the prefix "pro-" means "for" or "in favor of", and "con" is its opposite, and if "progress" means "pushing forward" or "improving"... then what the hell does "Congress" mean?
