Rep. Brady questions whether Metro snubbed 9/12 march
By Tony Romm - 09/17/09 01:23 PM ET

One Texas lawmaker is now questioning whether Metro failed to adapt its service to accommodate the influx of riders traveling last weekend to the "9/12 march"

The Saturday protest, organized by a host of conservative groups unhappy with the Obama administration, drew tens of thousands and stretched for blocks down Pennsylvania Avenue.
"Based upon numerous eye-witness reports by participants in the march, it is clear METRO did not adequately prepare for the influx of Americans traveling to D.C. for this historic event," Rep. Kevin Brady (R-Tx.) wrote Wednesday in a letter to John Catoe, the general manager of the Washington Metro Area Transit Authority. "I want an explanation why."

"During the march, I heard complaints from elderly veterans in wheel chairs who were denied use of the subway because not enough METRO cars were available and the METRO cars that did arrive were full to overflowing capacity," Brady added. "An 80 year old woman and her 60 year old daughter were forced to walk – and eventually pay for a cab – due to overcrowded conditions on the METRO. I heard many such complaints."

So let me get this right - this douchenozzle is complaining that he was hindered in getting to the big "anti-socialism" march because there wasn't enough socialist mass-transit available? Mass transit that he has repeatedly and consistently voted AGAINST funding? He wants people to do for themselves, and he's complaining that some people actually had to do just that?

Really?

Maybe we DO need "death panels", because some of these idiots are just too fucking stupid to live...
