Given how fickle the American people are, can anyone actually predict November? I assume the general rule of the party last voted in losing seats will prevail, but I don't think it's as clear-cut as many thought that the Dems will lose House and/or Congress. I guess it depends on what happens between now and then, since it seems a lot of people haven't concrete opinions of how they'll vote:
Quote:

It seems the passage of health care reforms into law has united the country in one way: It's sparked enthusiasm by both Democrats and Republicans to vote in this year's midterm elections, according to a new national poll.

But a CNN/Opinion Research Corporation survey also indicates that the passage of health care reform has not changed the political landscape in the battle for Congress. The poll's Tuesday release comes as President Obama signed into law a companion bill of "fixes" to the main health care legislation that he signed last week.

Fifty-five percent of Republicans questioned in the survey say they are now extremely or very enthusiastic about voting this November, up six points from January. Democrats are also up five points from January, with 36 percent of those questioned saying they are extremely or very enthusiastic about casting ballots in the midterms.

"The health care vote seems to have made some Democrats more eager to vote in November, but it has also activated more Republican voters, so the Democrats still face the same double-digit 'enthusiasm gap' they had before the vote," says CNN Polling Director Keating Holland.

Oh, hell, Nik - I don't even know how *I'm* gonna vote come November! Or *IF* I'm gonna vote.

Yep , the Ummericun public is more fickle than 17-year-old girls...

Nonetheless , I'm gonna go way out on a limb here and offer my prognostications for November :

This year , I'm gonna predict that it will follow rather closely after October...

Not voting is your best option.

Not ever. Heck, if nothing else, I'll pull the "D" lever just knowing it's voting for the lesser of two evils. :)

But what I *really* need to do is look into any third-party candidates to see if there's anyone viable.

Not voting or wasting your vote...I think either works for you. All things considered I think you'd be happier skipping the vote part and just buying a muffin or perhaps some for of oatmeal cookie or rice crispy treat from the little old ladies running the bakesale outside (if your voting place is bakesale free, your really missing out).

I've been voting for the "lesser of two evils" it seems like all my life. I would like to vote for someone I could believe in--I voted for Obama as lesser of two evils because I was afraid he wasn't strong enough to stand up to the right and would be too influenced by his advisors, and because McCain/Palin were scarier--especially the idea of Palin in power!

Gee...
