I watched the first one and half of the second one before I had to do other stuff. Interesting, though. Wonder if any of the physiology stuff, like about the eyes and sense of smell applies to cats?

Well, cats are telepathic.
Yeah, ok, I am jesting - cats have proven out repeatedly that they can make accurate assessments and manipulations of human behavior from the tiniest of cues, and while humans may not understand them, they *DO* understand you.

Siamese in particular will alter their meow to resemble a human baby just to yank your chain, and they're damn good at it - worse when you have more than one cat, cause they'll work cooperatively to get what they want out of you.

Here's a classic example.



The Siamese goes for crying baby irritation, while the Black kitty plays cute-sweet and plaintive - typical feline double whammy action.

When we had all six together, they would "carol" at us in harmony to get their way, it would drive her completely batshit, seriously.
