A bizarre spate of television presenters dissolving into on-air gibberish has sparked claims that the U.S. military could be to blame.

In four high-profile cases, the latest involving fast-talking Judge Judy, the presenters have started off speaking properly but have then descended into undecipherable nonsense - looking confused and unstable.

The frequency of the 'attacks' - and the fact that recorded examples of the mental meltdowns have been popular on websites - has led to conspiracy theorists pointing the finger at shadowy government experiments.

Are U.S. government microwave mind-control tests causing TV presenters' brains to melt down?

I doubt it. I imagine that if they had that technology they'd find more sinister and possibly more productive uses for it. Its funny you should mention this though because they were talking about it on the radio the other day.

It's common to use microwave transmitters to the left ear for bluetooth prompting, which really is replacing teleprompting. The left hear hear's better than the right (unless you're me) because the left ear is next to the language center of the brain, so the words don't have to cross the corpus collosum, which would slow down language processing.

The effect is probably related to the mechanism described, but I'm going to guess that it's unintentional. The devices being used are interfering with the adjacent brainwave patterns in the language center, causing it to shut down, creating aphasia, not probably a stroke. Hopefully not.
That's what a ship is, you know - it's not just a keel and a hull and a deck and sails, that's what a ship needs.

That explanation actually makes a lot of sense DreamTrove, good theory, I think you're right.

I was gnawing over why the four seemingly identical events in were attributed to completely different and not very logical health problems of the reporters by the media, and just now this struck me: Reporters are employees, and the news agencies gave them this equipment, which means it's a work related injury, for which the reporters can sue.

All this follows the presumption that these talking heads ever made sense in the first place - one which I am as yet still not convinced of.
