The dems have annointed him. There will be no choice.

Remember when Bernie Sanders ran on free college, and Hillary Clinton opposed it? Now enter the alternative facts zone.

That bill was then proposed as a law in New York by Bernie Sanders we don't know who, but we're sure we have Hillary Clinton to thank for it.

New York's free tuition program:

Hillary Clinton, left, shared the stage, and was present at the signing.

Hillary Clinton, Hillary Clinton, Andrew Cuomo, Hillary Clinton and Hillary Clinton signing the Sanders Hillary Clinton bill into law.

So, two days after the obvious "I'm running for president" speech accompanying the signing, Hillary Clinton shows up to re-sign the bill. In her capacity of, I don't know, TV celeb? I mean, it's already law, it's been signed by the governor, and now, it's signed by what, the poison pen?

Okay,

So, this is a torch passing, like when Madonna did this with Britney Spear (Oh, I so should have picked Lady Gaga. My intelligence was faulty. My peopel suck. Those little slimy rat bastards are all going to hang by their necks now!)
Hillary Clinton, is passing the torch, and her unelectable cooties, to Andrew Cuomo.

And this is the un-democratic party. And they're now annointing our next candidate. There will be a primary (it's hopeless)

So, taking a look at what we have.

Andrew Cuomo, the brother of CNN host Chris Cuomo, son of NY fail Mario Cuomo.

Pluses:

He didn't veto the fracking ban, so he's better than Paterson.
He did pass the Sander's college bill, even if he did it for personal ambition.
Also, points for actually following a Sanders idea.

Minuses: Cuomo care. Canceled point of service medicaid for everyone earning less than 27,000, and replaced it with a state funded HMO for everyone earning less than 9,000.
Infrastructure problem and corruption, not unique for New York, but pretty thick. Casinos, particularly, but this started with wall street favoritism, as att. gen and during bailouts. Meh. But very typically NY.

Basically, he's a pretty bad governor, like he was an attorney general, but there are worse. He's definitely not Hillary Clinton bad. He was swept into office on a press-anointed, casino-funded, non-election, as legacy kid of his dad, corrupt attorney gen.

I've got mised feelings about this. I'm not horrified by it, but I'm not enthused. I wish we had a primary that would matter, but I suspect it was just decided for us.

Next question, can he beat Donald Trump? not sure. The press loves him, for what it's worth. He's also a New Yorker, so no benefit to either side there.

Hillary and her pink hat crowd could probably make anyone lose. While I'm of mixed minds on the idea of him as president, my first thought was "Say hello to eight years of Trump."

And, yes, KPO, you can put both that he will now be teh democratic nominee and not president as we get eight years of Trump in the prediction thread.

Goodbye, kind world (George Monbiot) - In common with all those generations which have contemplated catastrophe, we appear to be incapable of understanding what confronts us.

Everything I've read about Andrew indicates he's a republican in democrat clothing - a dino. Just perfect for SECOND, 'G', and THUGGER.

This is excellent news.
Now instead of New York Liberal #1 and New York Liberal #2 to "choose" between, there will be New York Liberal #3 to choose instead - what a change of pace that will be.
When it comes to final races between 2 New York Liberals, looks like Trump will have the advantage - as long as he gets Ivanka and Jarrod to pipe down, stay in their cage.
