Now when did it start 1783? 1776? Seminole Wars also known as the Florida Wars or Indian Removal Wars? the Texas Revolution 1835 vs Mexicans or Quasi-War vs French in 1800 or Barbary Wars of 1801 to protect ships from jihad pirates or Cherokee–American wars 1795 or Opium Wars in Asia or Apache Wars 1849–1924 Navajo Wars 1849–1866? if people want to classify an 'Empire' when did it begin?

Of course there have been big Empires in the past or quick explosive Empires, ISIS or the so called islamic State, Polish-Lithuanian Empire, the Japanese Empire, Hebrew Israeli Empire of Judah, the USSR, Aztec Mesoamerica Empire, Achaemenid Persia Iranian Empire, Germany's Third Reich, the Mongol Empire...nothing really matches the feats of the USA beating the Soviets to the Moon. The United States is already unique that as a Constitutional Republic it has outlived the lifespan of its founders which is rare in history for a new country...they say the Empire it approaches that 250 number

In history we had Byzantine Empire or Eastern Rome, Chinese Han Empire, Holy Roman Empire, Silla Empire in South-Eastern Korea, Portuguese Empire, Khmer Empire a mix of Hindu and Buddhist, the Western Rome Empire, China's Zhou Empire, Carthaginians, the Classical Indian Sanskrit Jani Buddha Hinduism Chalukya dynasty, the Venetian Republic.
