Mighty fine bunch of miscreants you got there!
Mm'mm. All those belly-dancers...was there a
shepherdess, too?
And a great location. Someone did a great job
terraforming that planet.
Good album, lcrussell.

Aren't they a pretty bunch?
Yup...that was indeed a shepherdess you spied.
The terraforming took right well....but someone forgot to follow through with maintainence on the ovens and bathrooms - gorram Alliance....BUT being browncoats we rose above it and managed to put a right decent time together improvising like mad hatters.

Literally. LOL. Nope, I didn't miss that
but in my book a bathroom experience without
poisonous leaves or spectators is a matter
of sheer necessity and it's a lot easier to
call out for pizza than it is to get a Porta
Potty on five minutes' notice. Heh!!
Of course, -- not too sure what planet you
were on -- mebbe a pizza embargo or something.

our potty issues were more with the showers. 40 bodies who have the notion that smelling nice is a good thing....and ohhh 3 shower heads that do a bit more than trickle...but only a bit.

SO..folks were either patient or took sink baths...or they um...shared a working shower stall.

Our cooks improvised on the menu ( luckily we have some mighty fine cooks) and cussed the stove into a vague semblance of working order.

and the rangers....well.... that pretty much describes my feelings about the one they sent to take care of the stove (he stuck his hand in the oven...popped his gum at me and said " feels hot enough to me" - that was the extent of his actions) and to unlock one of the bathrooms.

We won't be using Camp Buckhorn next year - even though it's pretty and very convenient to town. I'd rather drive out into the back of beyond if the camp amenities are in good working order...and rangers who give a good gorram.

I'll be posting up more pictures later tonite AND we should have some You Tube links up soon-ish.

LOL @ Alliance gum-popper.
Too bad that beautiful "planet" is so poorly
managed.
They must have expected y'all to take Inara baths.

Glad your LARP went so well. I hope mine at Ancient City Con goes as well since we are using your rules. People from the Big Dang Larp can bring their characters to Ancient City to play also. Info is on the site. Of course your character still has to be alive. LOL We are also trying to get more Firefly events going on to if you want to help let me know.

AHHH!

I spend a little time out in the black and I miss out on the big stuff....

The missus and I were just talking yesterday about how it would be good to do some Firefly themecamping. We're only about an hour, maybe an hour and 20 minutes from Greeneville.

I feel like I should turn my card over to "dead body" now.

After attending DID (a bellydance camp) last year we were bouncing around ideas about building up a themecamping spot on the farm. There's a decent spot but we'd have to build up some facilities like cooking and some showers. This year has turned ugly, so it's not in the cards for the moment.

Firefly was the first thing that popped in my mind, and I wasn't too surprised when she agreed.

Sorry 'bout this year turning ugly because the 'Verse themed camping area sounds very very shiny!
I don't camp (my idea of roughing it is not having room service) but I'd be tempted by a verse themed site.

We've actually considered doing something like that ourselves - but with prefab cabins/buildings in order to have a dedicated LARP site.
and if I ever win the lottery we might just do it!
