So this seems to be a popular question--are there any middle Tennessee Browncoats that lurk here? I need others who understand the 'verse my way, and also, I need Firefly junkie buddies.

I also need a backrub. And new picture frames, but that is not precisely applicable here.

I can't be the only one...

well...you're not. I live in southern middle Tennessee...'bout 90 minutes away from Nashville!..Hello. I'm a member of Alpha Company...the 76th Independent Army and marched in uniform at Dragon*Con this past summer. There's quite an active community (although spread out a bit) of Tennessee Browncoats. Welcome if you're new; I lurked for quite a while before I started to post.

I've been lurking since about September. Hello back! So how can I join the Browncoat family here? Very jealous that you made it to DragonCon, by the way. Does that 76th have any members up here?

...Well, you've just gotta make it to D*C next year, then! The 76th is literally international, now and we're planning a presence at both Chattacon (in January) and ConNooga in February...hope you can make it to one of them. Also the SEBC (Southeast Browncoats) have a very active community as well. See what happens when you de-lurk?? (grin). Oh, and by posting you have joined...usually folk start a thread indicating they are newbies...and then get lots of 'welcome' messages....give that shot, but remember I said 'hi' first (giggle)...

SilveRisa! Welcome home! Got a big basket
of strawberries for you, and some whipped
cream to dip them in.
You're #27826 to sign on this shiny ship,
and we're right happy to make your acquaintance.

I'd whip right over with some picture frames
and a back-rub but it's a couple of thousand
miles, dagnabbit, and my compression coil's
near to falling out.

You'll find plenty of browncoats in your region,
however.

Please come on up to the galley and have an ice-planet
while you question the buffet. Cheese is nearly hot
and crew is gathering...

Hilarious! Thanks for the offer, and if you'd fixed the compression coil 6 months ago like I'd asked, I'd be relaxed and gazing at framed images right now, I guess. The strawberries and cream, though, are surely welcome, no doubting that.

Thanks for the welcome!

Heheeee! Soon's I get that coil fixed we
gotta go into hock for leakproof graviton
storage.

But that's enough shop-talk.

Hope you're enjoying it here -- somebody
may come along and offer you a virtual
browncoat (automatic perfect fit!) but
it's hard to tell from your thread title
that you are as yet un-coated, so you
may be under the radar, to use an obsolete
phrase. If you're badly in need of a coat
you can always go scavenging.

Come on over to the Caption threads and
join in the fun 'n' games.
