CHOSEN1

Okay, I wanted to mention a few that I didn't see. I haven't read them all, so forgive me if you mentioned them and I didn't get to it.

1) Morlocks: The ones with the white hairy arms from the original Time Machine used to scare the crap out of me when I was a little girl.

2) The big bad guy from Ghosts of Mars. I forget what he's technically called, but I always refer to him as Big Bad Voodoo Daddy. I like the way he's screams in gibberish and I actually do a passable impression. Anyway, I always thought a fully matured Reaver would look kind of like that.

3)The little alien leeches on Night of the Creeps. They would crawl inside people's ears and turn them into zombies. I love the way they mixed the alien and zombie sub-genres.

"Yes she's a witch...She's had congress with the beast."

I haven't read all of the posts, but I haven't seen Khan yet. We can't leave out Khan Singh.

I've heard his wrath can be pretty bad when people forget about him. ;)

Best Villan? The BORG from Star Trek.

A scary blend of emotionless terminator, mixed with a "Alien" insect hive-like society. The worst part, unlike a Terminator, or Predator, a Borg won't kill you. It will strip you of your humanity, and force it's will (or the will of the hive mind/Queen) upon you.

Worst Villan? The Ferengi (when they first appeared on TNG).

What was with their silly energy whips? They looked like flacid light sabers!!!!

I'd given some thought to movin' off the edge -- not an ideal location -- thinkin' a place in the middle.

I changed my mind! Best Villan ever in Sci-Fi?

DARK HELMET from Space Balls. "What's the matter Col. Sanders? Chicken?"

Though, the best scene in the movie was the "Alien" parody, where John Hurt says "Oh no, not again", followed by the baby alien bursting from his chest and doing the WB Frog song and dance, "Hello my baby, hello my darlin', hello my ragtime gal....."

I'd given some thought to movin' off the edge -- not an ideal location -- thinkin' a place in the middle.

OBSESSED

Has anyone mentioned Q from Star Trek TNG yet? I don't know that he's a traditional villain, but he was at least the antagonist and a royal pain in the arse.

This is obscure but scary as hell (in more ways than one). The devil in Terry Pratchett's "Eric" is really terrifying because it hits a little too close to home.
If you're not familiar with Terry Pratchett's books, check him out. If you like Firefly, you might like this stuff too. I suggest starting with "The Color of Magic" and "The Light Fantastic."

Tyler Durden (sp?) in Fight Club

Prince Humperdink and Count Rugen if I'm allowed to include them. (I know they're not sci-fi, but I've seen a lot of other stuff on here, too.

Also, if you include video games, then Jack Lupino from Max Payne should get a mention. ("I have tasted the flesh of fallen angels; I have tasted the devils green blood it runs in my veins") - He's just downright creepy. (and takes way more bullets in the head than anyone should.)

Book: I'd forgotten - you're moonlighting as a criminal mastermind now.
Simon: No, but I'm thinking about growing a big black mustache. I'm a traditionalist.

I know not many of you will remember this show, but to those who do, i hope you agree. In the late 60's (i think) a british show called THE PRISONER was aired for a short while, then cancelled (sound familiar?) but whoever the bad guys were (you never find out) they are the source of all evil

And Melkor fled before the laughter of Tulkas, and hated him ever after

Spot on.

This thread is from before my time here. I might need to make a list of those mentioned here.

I'll say Emperor Todd in Mom And Dad Save The World, played by Jon Lovitz.
And Ed Norton in Alita: Battle Angel.

The phrase "best villian" kinda throws me off a bit.

For Most Despicable Villian, I can go with Gaius Baltar on BSG.
