Nice catch, Gojiro.

And don't worry about not knowing how to play golf. It's a 9 hole par 36 course so it's going to be pretty short. I've found that you can do a course like that using only a putter (it's pretty easy to be on the green in two putts on a 100 yard hole).

Just think of it as miniature golf on steroids. Or Happy Gilmore without the hockey stick.

(Although - as is often pointed out to me by my brother and cousins who take golf more seriously than I do - you will embarrass the people you are playing with if you only use a putter

).

My dad, brother and I used to play one of those courses off the Old Gulf Highway in Houston when I was a kid. A 9 iron and a putter is all that's really required, though you might carry a wedge, too. It's fair practice for your short game. I'd be interested in seeing stills of Serenity Valley for the scenery.

I mean, before the massacre of course...

Mal: (to assembled Serenity golfing team) "They said that they could waltz through our Valley Tournament, and we have made them choke on our balls."

Badger: "Just so happens I've got my hands on a couple."
Jack Nicholas & Tiger Woods: "Snigger"
Badger: "Golf balls!"

Niska: "My put is solid, no? Is yours also solid?"
Tiger looks fearful at Niska's gentle, questioning smile. He purposefully fumbles, misses.
Tiger: "Please don't kill me."

Wash shields his eyes from the sun, looks wistfully over the rocky course from his vantage point. It has taken him a great deal of time to lay down the astroturf and sculpt the landscape, and even longer to remove the rotting corpses and unexploded bombs.
Wash: "Everything looks good from here... Yes, yes, this is a prime golf course and we will play. I shall rule over this golf course, and I shall call it... my golf course."
Jayne (sneaking up behind him): "I think we should call it 'Jayne's Club and Balls!'"
Wash: "Ah! Curse your sudden but inevitable hostile takeover bid!"
Jayne: "Ha ha! Mine is a nine-iron! Now die!"
