According to UPN.com's fansite , Firefly has been picked up by UPN. It wiil be at tuesday's at 9pm after Buffy, NEXT SEASON. I hope this is true.

Could you maybe provide a link. I'm having trouble believing this... as much as I'd like to. For a couple of reasons:

1)Buffy hasn't been picked up yet.
2)Network schedules aren't announced until Up-Fronts in August
3)Joss himself said that it hasn't yet been picked up just today.

I do hope it might be new news, though. It'd be exciting.

Not officially announced. There's always rumor, but the official announcements aren't until Up-Fronts. That's where it all gets set in stone. Before up-fronts last year, Firefly was rumored for a Sunday spot, or possibly for a mid-season replacement... so, until Up-Fronts, nothing's official and *mostly* everything's just speculation and rumor (that's not to say everything is rumor).

FYI, Joss's posting today on Buffistas.org pretty much gave the impression that nothing is happening until after the holidays. After that, it's going to be one hell of a rough ride to get Firefly onto UPN or anywhere else. So as far as this bit of news about Firefly following Buffy on UPN, it's just a rumor--one I wish was true, but, unfortunately, things aren't always that simple.

We'll all just have to wait and see.

Broadcast networks announce their fall-line up around May. If UPN did pick up Firefly, we would have read about it in official sources (zap2it, Electronic Media, etc.). Following Buffy is an unlikely announcement. I would think we would hear about Buffy's future first anyways.
