Apologies if this has already been posted guys!

As you prolly already know Seven is finally airing Firefly in Australia starting next week, but have sadly decided to air the episodes in the order they were shown in the US - a complete travesty!

The Firefly fans from buffy.com.au are mounting a campaign to have Channel Seven play the episodes in order.

Please visit http://www.sixdegreesofwhedon.com/ and do your part to give Firefly the respect and kind treatment it deserves! And spread the word!

yeah I just read that at Whedonesque...
what are they thinking?
they must be planning to show all of the episodes made (including those unaired in the US)
so why not show them in the order on the DVDs?

very confused...

but, bright side, at least our friends downunder are going to get to see Firefly!

I reckon they're just plain dumb. Praps they dont know the true order of the episodes, and are just following the US running order. Of course a whole five minutes of research would solve that problem. Bloody Seven - cant even do basic research about their own shows. I cant imagine that they would be contractually obligated to play them in that order. What happened in other countries when they aired the episodes? UK? Canada? Does anyone know?

Oooh! Mangoes!

actually I think if the local viewers contacted the station directly they could straighten that out...
at least here in the US, once they have permission to show an tv show they can adjust the time & everything to suit their schedule..
(around football games or whatever)
so you might at least ask them to not screw it up!

I know in the UK Firefly got played on the Sci-Fi Channel. After what happened on Fox in the States a heap of people wrote in to Sci-Fi and let them know about the proper order of the episodes, as a result Sci-Fi played them in the right order and Firefly (from what I've heard) was moderately successful. As opposed to cancelled, on Fox.

As for http://www.sixdegreesofwhedon.com , I sent a copy of that letter this afternoon. I hope it makes a difference - it should if enough people get behind it!

'Yes... this is a fertile land, and we will thrive. We will rule over all this land, and we will call it... "this land".' 'I think we should call it your grave.' 'Ah! Curse your sudden but inevitable betrayal!'
