Quote:I think it's a novelization of the movie, not a separate story.

Quote:I almost always avoid books based on movies, so I'll have to think on whether or not I pick this one up. It needs to offer me something in addition to just a straight retelling of the movie (most novelizations do, though, so...).
Quote:Is the novel written yet?
Quote:Has Krad seen the rough cut or does he know the story yet?
Quote:I can attest that KRAD is a good sci-fi writer; I've read a few of his Star Trek novels and they're some of the best.
Quote:Yes, KRAD is very good.
Quote:Also having never read a novelizations before I wondered if anyone knows if its the norm for a novelizations to expand on the story or are they generally just a straight retelling of the film.

Quote:any idea yet if this will also be available in eBook format? and if so which one and where to buy it?
Quote:and you know KRAD, if you want to meet that bogus page number of 320 pages, I am okay with that.
Quote:KRAD, House of Cards was the ONLY Farscape novel that was any good, so I'm glad to see you're the one writing the novelization of Serenity. I'm really looking forward to it.
Quote:BTW, are they ever going to let you publish that Farscape book I've heard rumors you finished???

Assuming they do have eBook rights here -- and I don't know one way or the other if they do -- then they will almost definitely release the books in the three major eBook formats: Adobe, Microsoft Reader, and eReader (the latter for your handheld device). The former two should be available both at the publisher's web site at SimonSays.com, and also at Amazon.com and probably Powells.com. The handheld format will be available from the good folks at eReader.com.
