Last night was the annual Halloween episode of the Simpsons, and there was a possible Firefly reference! You know how the cast/crew always give themselves funny "Halloweeny" names in the credits on the Halloween specials? Well, one guy (I don't remember his name, but if someone has it Tivo'd, let me know) had his name as Blank "Reavers!" Blank. I was so excited I didn't catch what the first and last name was.

I downloaded the show via bitorrent at suprnova.dot.org - it's 'Co-Executive Producer Don "Reavers!" Payne' in the introduction (time 1:41) AND, as an extra bonus, one of the Animation Executive Producers is listed as 'John "Badger" Hyde' (time 21:17).

well 'Badger' could refer to something else (but I don't know what)
but surely 'Reavers' HAS to be a Firefly reference...
