there was a cut of the pilot that was floating around the internet before the official version aired...

Does anyone know where i can get a copy of it?

you mean the opening scene to the two hour 'Serenity' episode? Because that is in the extras 'deleted scene' on the DVD

Nah... there was an original episode that lacked the opening combat scene... but did have a bunch of other scenes that were pretty awesome.

It seems to me that the dialogue between inara and Book in the dvd edit is watered down and less ideological. I want to get a copy of the original.

I owned it at one time but the copy was CRAPPY and my comptuer has since crashed and I lost it.

No prob. That site is handy to get lots of people hooked on the show, but the episodes aren't DVD quality. However, their gagreel is much longer
