After bringing his big and burly character of Jayne Cobb to the big screen in SERENITY, FIREFLY cast member Adam Baldwin will be getting another check cut from Fox Television. The actor has joined the cast of THE INSIDE, a new cop drama slated to premiere next year on the network. Baldwin will play a veteran FBI agent assigned to mentor a young recruit (to be played by Rachel Nichols) assigned to the L.A. Violent Crimes Division.

In addition to playing Jayne in FIREFLY, Baldwin also appeared numerous times in the eighth season of THE X-FILES as Knowle Rohrer. He's also starred in the feature films THE PATRIOT, WYATT EARP and FULL METAL JACKET.
