I believe in solving problems, not sharing them.

I went on vacation, has a great time... and I took my FF DVDs with me. Sprung it on my various hosts in two different countries. And I got the reaction many of you probably got:

Who aired this? WHEN was this?? How did I miss it???

In fact, when I called my friends in the Great While North to thank for a WONDERFUL time, I caught them in the act of showing a rented DVD to some of their other friends. heh heh heh.

I think I started a little mini-epidemic! YAY!!!

CALIGARI

Yay for our side! I myself gave my all-too-new brother-in-law the box set, and I'm still holding my breath as to him, and my sister, truth be told, becoming Browncoats. So these new recruits Up North, they know about September, and does anyone know about Northern Cinematic Distribution?

CYBERSNARK

Assuming "North" means Canada and not, uh, Scotland or somewhere, we tend to get our movie releases at the same time as the US ('cause it'd be too easy for moviegoers to just drift south and catch the flick, thus depriving Canadian theatres of ticket sales).

Only trouble is if it's a kids movie (lasts a week or two, no longer) or an overseas film (probably doesn't even play here).

YT

the movie is not the Series. Only the facts have been changed, to irritate the innocent; the names of the actors and characters remain the same

Great White North refers to Canada. The phrase was coined @the National Lampoon (US comedy magazine), @a time (70s, mebbe late 60s) when more than half the writing & editing staff were sometime Canadians.
