Not that there's anything wrong with that.

With the Pilot, I was afraid the promise it showed might die out quickly, the storyline derailed.

But last week's episode resolved my concerns, and I think the story arcs are progressing better than I feared.

I really liked the ep.

WOW! Someone here actually watches the show! I'm enjoying it very much so far, but I agree that this current storyline might be getting a bit long in the tooth and hopefully will be resolved soon so they can all move on to the next psycho bloodfest. I mean, the FBI agents on Criminal Minds have been doing the same thing for 15 years, and they almost always get the bad guy in just one episode. Having Michael Cudlitz as a regular cast member really adds an extra shot of humor and gravitas to the goings on. Some of Clarice's hallucinations, however, are shockingly dark and frightening. That's a reason by itself to watch.

It may be channeling a bit of "Evil" series, which is positive in my book.
I was worried about derailment of story arcs established in the Pilot, but it seems those have petered out.

I had considered starting a Gotcha List of continuity errors or gaffes not keeping with the timeframe of early 1990s.
It must be tempting to cheat and use tech like all the other genre shows, but that tech was not existing back then. Current shows solve all their cases within 1 hour by camping at their desk, glued to their phone or handheld devices. I was hoping this show had some scenes outside of the desk cubicle format.

This past Thursday I saw what must have been the 5th episode.
I was disappointed that so much time was spent during the fervent search for their missing fellow Agent just shmoozing around the desk/cubicle/coffeemaker. Kinda like action movies take time out of their life-or-death scenes to get all kissy and boink.

I noticed Agent Ecchioval had a cell phone to call Starling on her desk phone. Didn't see if it was smart phone or flip phone. Either way, was that around in the time frame 1 year after Silence of The Lambs (1991)? And I forgot if SoTL was in current time then, or a year behind.

They said the next new episode would be on 1 April.
And then last night they rebroadcast the Pilot, and also said the next new episode would be 1 April. There was mention of the first 5 episodes, so maybe they are planning to rebroadcast them all before the new episodes resume.

Eps so far:
Pilot - 13 or 14 Feb.
ep 2 - 18 Feb
Ep 3 - 25 Feb
Ep 4 - 4 Mar
Ep 5 - 11 Mar

Ep 6 - 1 April
Ep 7 - 8 April

Ep 8 - 6 May

Rebroadcast:
Pilot - 12 Mar
Ep 2 - 18 March
Ep 3 - 25 March
Ep 4 - 15 April
Ep 5 - ??
Ep 6 - 22 April
Ep 7 - 29 April

I saw Ep 2 on Thurs, had not seen it before.

I did like the story arc, better than what I had feared from the end of the Pilot.

Took me a while to recognize Novak.

Thursday night was Ep 3.

I saw Danial Kash grilling the AG.

He was Louie of the infamous Huey, Dewey, and Louie on Due South. And also Pvt Spunkmeyer in Aliens.

I was thinking this episode was going to be called Straight Shooter.

I've been enjoying the show. The repeats help to see some of the progress of the story arcs. The parts that are fairly involved, in depth.
But the repeats also expose the worst of the scripting. Next week seems to be Ep 7 again, when Starling is kidnapped and her fellow agents slouch around the coffee pot shmoozing at leisure.

I hope Ep 8 in May gets back to tighter scripting.

Was a long wait for last night's episode, but it seems they are putting together the story lines well.

Although the whole episode set in the frame of a shrink session is boring, very lazy writing.

At least there was no Kal Penn.

I do wonder, though, who was it that started the DNA Database, back in that time. And why did they appropriate this facet for their wokeness campaign.

I do know which agent instigated BSU. But not the DNA project.

Tonight's Episode was better, no shrink and all the story lines started moving, getting traction.

And also no Kal Penn. Hey, maybe he quit to go help Lord Darth Biden with his Chin Diaper.

I'm looking forward to episode 2 this week.

The girl looks a lot like Ellen Page, except younger and prettier, .... and as far as I know isn't transitioning into a man.

I just read that your show is moving to Paramount +

So nice to still have a show with new episodes.
But the scriptwriters are mailing them in. Supposed to be a tense gun standoff, and everybody is babbling on about their mommies. For like 2/3 of the episode. Even rifle shooters are not supposed to maintain that much time on trigger, let along handgun.

But parts of the story are moving, at least.

I did clearly see a flip phone. Were these really around in 1992? I avoided them for years, and finally got one like that in 2002. But I don't recall when they came out. Everybody I knew was still using landlines in 1994, like for our modems. And still until about 2000.

I started wondering a few weeks ago about Clarke's sister. She was 13. He was older. Nick Sandow was 54 when the series started, set in the year 1992.
He would have been a teen 40 years earlier - like 1951-ish. Even if she was in smut mags, that would have been black & white pics most likely. And maybe still in circulation 40 years later?
I'm not sure about that.

Seems fitting that the first time I see ad for Lisey's Story, new Julianne Moore flick, is tonight during Clarice.

This past episode seems to be picking up the pace, wrapping things together.

Any illusions that this was an episodic series, instead of a long story arc broken into segments, must be dashed by now.

Looks like next episode might be good as well.

Looks like Kal Penn stopped destroying America with Biden long enough to stop by the show again.

I enjoyed tonight's episode a lot. Really picking up the pace now. Story is wrapping up a lot of the strands.

Next week is season finale, also looks good.

Tonight's episode still does not have cast credits updated, who is who.

I noticed a couple hours ago this title was blank.

I didn't know what the thread was about. When I sussed out it was Clarice, I wondered what happened. I have not had access to the board since 1700 my time, more than 7 hours ago. And I had not accessed this thread since last night, the post before this one.

So I tried to remember how to restore a title.

When I did, I saw that Jongs also deleted his OP, presumably at the same time.

I wonder why.

IMDB finally updated the episode listing, with Rebecca Liddiard. Although her imdb page is not updated.
