May have been the losing side. Still not convinced it was the wrong one.

The lowest common denominator approach to movie making feels more like the studios' are lifting my wallet. If Joe and Jane Average don't get "Serenity", screw 'em.

I want an imaginative, non-clichéd movie that I can't see the conclusion to -- like a slow-motion haymaker -- from about twenty minutes in. Especially since I know Joss won't cheat the details just to keep it mystifying, suspenseful. I expect to get an impending sense of dread, mixed with a reasonable hope for a happy conclusion, while never being able to guess the actual outcome until it gets there. Kinda like Life itself. That's the value in JW's storytelling, to me. Respectfully, zoid P.S. I'd rather have one great movie than 3 homogenized ones. _________________________________________________ "Burn the land and boil the sea, you can't take the sky from me." The Ballad of Serenity
