For me, it wasn't how I was introduced to it, but how I was RE-introduced.

I started watching it when it first came out. I'm a geek, so I'm naturally attracted to anything sci-fi, and also I wanted to see what the big deal is on Joss Whedon. I had never seen an episode of either BUFFY or ANGEL, so I wanted to start fresh with something new.

I watched it and I really liked it. And was justifiably pissed when it was canned. But I just put it in the mental pile of 'Great, but short lived' tv shows like so many others and moved on.

So about a year later, I'm driving my brother back from the university, and he plays on his lap-top the FIREFLY theme. Apparantly, he had discovered FIREFLY on his own, and it stirred up some memories of my own about the show. And then, about 8 months later, after hearing about how FIREFLY was heading for the big screen, I decided to pick up the DVD set, watched the whole thing through, and fell back in love with it. And this was only in late July/early August of 2004. I had only gotten back into this great show just recently.

I found out about Firefly from my oldest sister she watched it when it was on TV then when it was cancelled she bought the DVD and let us borrow it and i watched every episode and i luved and now my other sis is too and she is trying to get all her friends addicted to it so they will see the movie so it will be a successful film and maybe they will make sequals or put it back on the air or whatever they were gonna do if it was successful.
