Okay. I'm gonna scram. Victor, really enjoyed your article, by the way. Have you published yet?

Also wanted to let everyone here know that Firefly is not dead. Not yet. Joss and us'ns are working on a new angle, the details of which I cannot get into just yet. Also, I'm finishing editing my last episode. I think it's gonna be good. And "Trash" is lots of fun and we're finishing "Heart Of Gold." So some day, at the very least, ya'll get for certain three more hours of us.

Just spreadin' the good world.

I'm smiling... wow, I can't believe it. I know it's not exactly great news, but I wonder if that subscription thing is what they are talking about. For me, that'd be better than broadcast even. It never sounded very realistic, but that'd be ideal. I'd seriously pay 15-20 bucks an episode for a good quality DVD. OK, breathe in and out... try not to get my hopes up.

Uhhhhhh......hope rises again inside me!!!!!
It's like it was in december. I was very sad, when I heard that Firefly was canceled and I thought of all the fans that another network would pick it up was very unrealistic. Until I read a post of Joss where he said that their really working on that. I felt hope.
And now when all hope has gone again, Tim's post let me hope again.........
There is still hope.(As the Evenstar would say)

---------------------------------------------
Firefly has its fans all over the world. Yes, even in little Switzerland.

BROWNCOAT1

May have been the losing side. Still not convinced it was the wrong one.

Definitely good news. Sure makes me wonder what he meant when he said

I hope that whatever it is, it keeps Firefly flying. I would spend nearly any reasonable (or not so reasonable) amount of money for Firefly to continue.

Now if only I could get a brown coat just like Mal's.

FIREFLYPASSENGER

Mr. Green, thank you for sharing. I do keep hope alive, it is just nice to hear from Tim that they are working on it. If anyone can do it it's them.

I would like a brown coat like Mal's also!

May Serenity keep flying.

POSTER NUTBAG

This is nothing more than speculation on my part, but considering the angle they were working on to pitch to Sci-Fi network, it wouldn't surprise me if they weren't looking into doing a movie or mini-series instead of a full-blown series.

I wonder if between ME, 20th Television Fox (the production house, not the broadcast network), and the Kazui's, if they can afford to produce one of those on Spec... they already have the sets built...

I agree. My best guess would be a couple of direct to DVD movies. My guess is thet would be fairly cheap to produce (sets/costumes/casting/etc already done. Joss/Tim probably have plenty of ideas for the show that could be ported to a movie. Could film two at once to save costs. Joss could produce and Tim could direct, and jointly write it. I bet they'd work pretty cheap, profit sharing kinda thing. I doybt most of the cast would be paid that much for a movie. Etc, etc).

Hopefully sales from a movie or two and a direct to DVD set will spark enough interest in the series...

The difference betwwen sports fans and sci-fi fans is that sci-fi fans have never trashed a train, booed Canada, or torn a man apart limb from limb.

LOSTANGEL

I'm confused. I thought the 3 unaired episodes were "in the can". Are these 3 more, or are they just tweaking the ones that they had?

I think they're just finishing post-production on the three episodes we were already aware of.
