That's the link to an airsoft version of the Browncoat standard issue rifle.

Its actually not that hard to find the G36 airsoft gun. And the link you have is probably one of the more expensive. I scored mine for about 19.99 + shipping off ebay.

If you look closely, the G36 isn't the only gun Browncoats use. Mal's shown with the french FAMAS and in the message he's sporting a UMP-45. And if you look really closely some of the Browncoats are carrying M4 Carbines with a foregrip.

Personally, I prefer the shotgun Zoe hits people with when she sneaks around behind them. I think it suits me better, you know? More...feminine.

Malicious,
Zoe's gun isn't a shotgun its a carbine version of some old lever-action rifle.

It would require some modification, but exhaustive searching on my part has turned up NO inexpensive replica of the modified weapon. Still. . .a non-firing replica like this one would be easy enough to modify like Zoe's.

If you'd like a replica of synchronizers, this is what I suggest. . .

Get a clear cylinder.. .and fill it with the 'crystals' style cat litter. It's more accurate than you think.

The item that Kaylee picks up and says, "OOOh! SYNCHRONIZERS!" are actually dessicant tubes for the radar module for C-5 and C-17 cargo jets, used to absorb moisture.

speaking of jets...

I know a young man who is an 18-year-old, senior, good student, and ROTC officer. He's signing up, but hasn't decided between Air National Gaurd and Army National Gaurd. Aircraft mechanic or helicopter mechanic. Any opinions or advice?

I worry about him. He's so young and bright. He's a computer genius and one of the best employees I've the pleasure to order about. I want to do whatever i can for him.

I love the Army. I've spent 15 years with them, and I intend to spend at LEAST 5 more (before I can retire if I want). . .and I can honestly say. . .

Air Force.

They take better care of their folks and he's at less personal risk if he goes to Iraq or Afghanistan.

The real things cost several hundred dollars m ore than the non-firing replica. But I'd be delighted to track them down for you.

Speaking of costumes I wanna dress up like Wash for the premier. I figure one of his hawaiian shirts shouldn't be too hard to find right?

So I'm thinking maybe his outfit from war stories. Anybody got a good lead on a hawaiian shirt store online with a good replica? Gotta find me some wash pants too.

I'd think any "loud" hawaiian shirt would be fine. Wash goes through several in the series. I don't recall what kind of pants he wears, but I do remember he does occasional wear the shirt along with a flight suit.

And for anyone in general interested in Firefly costuming. There's a group of us at Cosplay.com :

Wash wears no pants. He just rolls down the top part of the flightsuit. Also, it's very important to wear WHITE SOCKS with DARK BOOTS to complete the glorious dorkdom that is our belove-ed Wash.

Is there any wonder why she is our Mistress?

So witty, so hot, so, Mal!

Back to the thread...
I picked up my coveralls at a feed store. I couldn't find any my size at the army surplus, the uniform store, or the hunting store. I did however get my combat boots at the surplus. I somehow convinced my dad to purchase a ghagra choli while he was in India, it's so pretty. And I picked up most of my River outfit at work.

Accessory time!
