Firefly is in Newsweek!

I just flipped open my new Newsweek to scan the 'short' pieces of news they generally have at the beginning of the magazine.. and there.. settled prominently in a chart in their 'Periscope' section.. is Firefly.

Yes, folks. Firefly has made Newsweek! It's a short mention of the comic due out in July, and the text of the article can be found here: http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/6959878/site/newsweek/

The magazine version has pictures, though - from what I can tell, comicized versions of Mal, Zoe, and Jayne, although they may just be photos that have been messed with a bit.

We're going big time, folks!

My guess is that is is sequel to the series and prequel to the movie. (What's the term for that -- midquel?)

May have been the losing side. Still not convinced it was the wrong one.

From what I have read, EvilMike has the right of it; the comic will cover the time that transpires between the end of the series and the BDM.

I think it is shiny that Newsweek gave us a nod. I really believe that this coverage will get some more potential Browncoats looking our way, and a copy of the mag can be used at Cons and the like to help generate interest in the DVD set, the BDM and the comic.
