I just had to declare how sweet that is (despite all of the packaging)!

Thirteen seasons of excellent television at my fingertips... plus more extras and bonuses than I can shake a stick at.

I love the DVD revolution!

Good on yah. I only have Angel seasons 2-5 and Firefly. I might buy seasons 2 and 3 of Buffy.

I too know the superlative joy of being able to pick an episode any episode of the Mutant Enemy collection and watch it.

Here's to hoping for season two of Firefly and Angel Season Six!

Been out of the world for a
spell. Like to walk it a while, maybe
bring the word to them as need it
told.

I was feeling bad about how relatively little there is...
but then I'm reminded of how young Joss Whedon still is,
how how short a time he had Mutant Enemy
(started 1997 ended 2004)

In the latest issue of SFX they listed great SF Pioneers Ever;
and Joss was only #14
but younger than anyone listed higher than him,
younger than most of the people who made the list at all....
Joss Whedon still has a long career ahead of him,
with more movies, TV shows and comic
(and who knows what else!?)

but I guess I'm a bit of a fan-girl....

BTW do you have all his comics to go w/the DVDs?
LOL

Congratulations, Hjermsted! Looks like you mean just the DVDs, not books & comics & all. As far as I'm concerned the DVDs cover it, since I'm a Joss-TV fan more than a Joss-print fan. I lack only Angel 5 to have the full set, too, and that'll be in my hands in a week or so.

It is in fact amazing just how much excellent TV Joss generated in seven short years. He must have done whatever is the opposite of breaking a mirror. Or, we did, and Joss was our reward.

Wasn't it 8 years?

I have as of yet to finish the collection. I can't wait to get season 6 of Buffy so I can see the musical episode again!

I have heard of a place where humans do battle in a ring of Jell-O.

Hee hee. That's okay. I'm embarrassed to admit how long it took me to add 7 and 1 in my head. :)

I do have a big pile of the collected editions of Buffy and Angel comic books. I think I'm only missing several of the one-shot issues and short stories that showed up in Dark Horse anthologies.

I haven't tried any novels from the Buffyverse on for size yet.

I keep saying one of these days, I'm going to give the Fray series a try, but the Buffyverse always seems so full to me. I'm just pissed that a network decided that Angel had to end.

Excerpt from My Genre Geek Resume:
~huge Odyssey 5 fan (despite its cancellation)
~dangerously obsessed with BtVS and Angel
~former Andromeda fan

I do recommend Fray,
I was shocked that Joss introduced the Slayers' Scythe in Fray almost a full year before Buffy got it in her 7th season...

And Tales of the Slayer was a oner,
but Tales of the Vampire was a great series..
just now out together in a nice book.

And of course you don't want to miss out on The Astonishing X-men,
even if you never followed X-men you'll see that Joss has put a lot into it.

it gets a little addictive doesn't it.
i must admit, although i'd hear dhow good firefly was ages ago, i bought the series last week without having seen any of it - i trust Joss - and i was amazed by how awesome it is. it was however depressing to think there's no more.
