Er, 16? That wouldn't make us Sid and Nancy, that'd make us Douglas and Zeta Jones. Ew. (Although I'm only a decade older, unlike the buttcrackchin guy).

Ooh, and can people wish a friend of mine happy birthday? She's 25 tomorrow and may well see this!

Hmmm.

Hmmmm. Hmmmm.

I spy gentses cueing in line, while Cap'n Ebo dares them to claim her atop the pool table.

Shyness? Manners?! Yawn!

*cozen leaps atop pool table. Gently, gently, gently grabbing newly faux-rouge-coiffed Ebo by newly faux-rouged coif, sets to spinning her at alarmingly ever-increasing rpms.... And in dastardly fashion sends her plummeting to the comfy torture-pleasure chair 'neath the pool table!*

Relax, kiddo. I might not do many things well, but pool tables and kidnappings are a couple of 'em. Having learned from the most excellent and wise Montanagirl, I shall now endeavour to, um, gain your consent in record time! Shall we begin, say, with a round-robin of body smoochies? Yeah, I know, more in the spirit of the previous thread, but I'm all for makin' up for lost time here.

See, I don't have a sister and I kinda thought of you as a sister type. Big sisters don't want to think of little sister types on or under pool tables. I've been a horrible example.

* The Real Me tears off the curtain. *

Dammit, Cozen, what the hell is going on with all this kidnapping? Sheesh! Did you ever think of just ASKING A GIRL OUT? Or did you come from some primitive culture where you had to abduct your mate from the next tribe over the ridge?

Moreover, can’t you learn any stealth? Subtley? Something? You do this right in front of my eyes and you can’t guess what’s going to happen next? What, have you not been paying attention? You should have trapped or disabled me, first! I’ll expect better, next time!

* The Real Me jabs the muzzle of his Spam-slinger into Cozen’s side. *

I hardly ever miss at this range. Now Ebo…

* The Real Me averts his eyes. *

Uh, if it pleases the Captain, could she PLEASE put some clothes on?

* The Real Me sighs, and continues to look away from Ebo. *

Uh… Look, Ebo, in two years, you can swing from the chandelier naked, if you like. But for now, let’s not do anything to get Haken shut down!

Hey! Elwoodmom! She'd know what to do. Mom! Are you out there? Can you offer us some advice?

Oh, Ebo, great picture, thanks. That’s some hair color. That’s almost Jean-Grey-Red!

And yes, Jake7, I’d love to have a game with you, once the pool table is free.

Okay, now I have a little task to attend to, seeing as we have so many new folks.

* The Real Me stands in the center of the common room (next to the pool table) and concentrates. *

There! I have folded space within the Sereni-Tree twice. Now we have a lot more room. Instead of just the West Wing, we have the North, South, and East Wings back.

Also, on the third floor of the East Wing is a recording studio, stage, and dance floor (complete with rotating disco ball!) for "the fireflies".

Umm...the engines...they aren't installed yet. I just got back from coler climes. Needed some things found in cold places. Gimme a coupla hours.

*begins installation of inboard and external engines, thrusters, etc. Several hours later...*

Right. So for intrastellar we have engines that'll do 1 and 3/4 Impulse at flank speed. She'll hit roughly MACH 7 in atmo, given the right conditions. She's got hull plating and armor to allow deep atmo gravity slingshoting if needed. FTL Drive...well, we got two. The first allows for supspace travel at roughly 20 times the speed of light, in subspace mind you. I've installed a Gravity Drive, but it still needs testing. Singularity manipulation is dangerous, but if I can get it working properly travel time between stars will be near zero, regardless of distances.

1) Weapons are of offensive capabilities, and are thus not defenses.

2) We're fast enough to out run anything.

3) What are manuvering thrusters?

Working on the weapons. I figured just being able to fly was the important part. First you make her spaceworthy, then you make her fast, then you make her dangerous.

Grey. And what?

Anyway, Static I've got two forward facing plasma cannons, locked, with twin sets of 360 degree laser cannons, all pilot controlled. Also twin quad plasma cannon turrets on top and bottom amidship, and a gunner bubble with a quad plasma cannon in aft. I've installed ablative plating already with refractive shielding in two layers as well as dampening fields on the hull level.

Okay, that should do in case we run into any Reavers. . .or a gorram Alliance Dreadnought for that matter. *grin* I think we'll need to modify the cockpit so that there's a CPG station (Co-Pilot/Gunner) sitting tandem to me, up in front. He can handle the forward guns and the 360 lasers. We'll assign crewmembers to operate the quads.

I'm not lookin' for a fight. . .just want to be able to deal with one should one be found.

*smiles at Tippy*

Now love. . .a gent's waiting for a dance from you when you return from work. I'll simply leave you with this thought. . .

You can dance
Every dance with the guy who gives you the eye
Let him hold you tight
You can smile
Every smile for the guy who'd like to treat you right
'Neath the pale moonlight
But don't forget who's takin you home
And in who's arms you're gonna be
Oh, darlin' save the last dance for me

Cozen, I would love to dance. Thank you. And I always dance to the tunes in my head.

You, dear sir, can have any dance you want.

What about an interversal drive, for going between verses(ie- firefly, star trek, star wars, B5) as well as engines that will work in each verse(ie- standard radion accelerator core, warp drive, hyperdrive, jump point initiator)????

That's the initial FTL(faster than light) drive, at least as far as operating in a particular 'verse. The Gravity Drive will be able to puncture space to allow interversal travel. But it's not fully tested. And I'd like to avoid an Event Horizon.

SIMONWHO

The nice thing about an infinite improbability drive is that it totally negates the need for us to have any weapons. Any hostile forces that approach us can turn into completely random objects (although chances are a few of our possessions will also go weird too (or weirder in some cases (all right, one particular case))).

Right, as we've got some extra space now, thanks to TRM's cavalier disregard for all laws of space/time (thanks!) I'm going install a swimming cube next to my quarters. A swimming cube is much like a swimming pool but there's no top or bottom or indeed any gravity at all. The liquid isn't water but a super oxygenated mix that fills your lungs and means you don't have to surface until you're ready to leave. Yeah, like that stuff from The Abyss.

Perfect for re-enacting Esther Williams musical numbers.

EBONEZER

*Ebo, still clad in that tutu thing wanders off in search of her dorm. She doesn't remember ever spending a night there, just that when they were handing rooms out, she somehow ended up with one. She has head a rumor that her guitar might be in said dorm room, although finding said dorm room is a little problimatic.*

*Ebo twirls down the hall until she comes to a door that looks vaguly familiar. She pushes it open to find her dorm at last.*

Yay!

*she finds her guitar and pulls the loop over her head, then picks up her little amp and drags the whole mess into the common room.*

Score! Look what i found guys! Now we can have a theme song!
