SEANHARRY

Those nice people over at Universal have given me some seats at a second advance screening of SERENITY to be held in London at 6:30pm on Sunday 20th March.

Do you fancy seeing SERENITY 7 months early?

Send me an e-mail at SeanHarry@aol.com with the header "Second SERENITY Screening". Make sure to give you registration number for STARFURY: SERENITY (if you booked within the last 6 weeks and have yet to receive your ticket mention that instead).

The number of seats available is very limited, only a quarter of the number we had last time, so if you want a seat then act now!

Please note that the version of SERENITY screened will not be a finished version of the film; CGI effects have not been finished, the music is a temporary soundtrack, and it may go through further changes.

Hope to see you there!

Sean Harry

How much are last minute tickets to London from the States?

I want to see the advance screening so badly. Argh I guess I can wait for the full blown release. I guess.

Wow, Must have really impressed the execs on the 1st showing.

Is there any restrictions on applying?

Thanks,

UK SERENITY BROWNCOATS - YOU`RE NEEDED!

Come and see the next big thing for the Big Screen!

I guarentee, that even though the movie isn`t completely polished, you will enjoy it throuigh and through.

The Captain is calling for your support - rise up and show those `versal execs that this is what we`ve been waiting for, a Big Gorram Movie with plenty of down-to-earth & out-there experiences.

Should we be worried that they are doing this again? Is it the same movie as the first preview showing, or have they tinkered with it?

I will be able to report back, If I notice changes (No Spoilers), I`ve just recived confirmation.

I often see movies on the big screen more than once, I find the 1st viewing is always the wow-shock factor and then then 2nd viewing you settle in to watch the story, so this will be very interesting, especially to report back on.

Fingers crossed fingers crossed...

The last time I did have the chance to go to the screening (hell, Sean even asked me when I was on the phone booking my convention ticket), but I had decided that I wanted to wait for the finished version...

Now though, after hearing such great reports, I realise that given a second opportunity I'm not going to give it up! So I have sent off my email and am hoping frantically that I didn't send it too late...

All tickets have now been claimed.

That`s less than a day for the places o be taken up!

Right, have killed two birds with one stone, and phoned Sean up about my ticket - apparently tickets from the end of Jan onwards have not yet been posted - and about whether confirmations are still being sent for the screening. Apparently the rest of the confirmations will be sent out this evening, so I've got a nail-biting wait until the morn!! Oh, the stress...

Hello, this is the first time I've written on these boards, although I've been visiting this site for ages!
Just writing to say that I was lucky enough to get a ticket this time to see Serenity in London, and hopefully I'll be reporting back to everybody with non-spoilerific reviews and comments.
So speak to you soon!

I don`t know if people want to do a similar thing to last time - meet up for Pizza before (depending on Location & Screening Time of course)?

Forbidden Planet is Open on Sundays too - Off Shaftsbury Avenue for all that SciFi/Fantasy Need - They have a very, very good book selection, best in the `verse along with all the other stuff too.

Maybe not pizza, but I'd definitely be up for eating something beforehand. And Forbidden Planet sounds like a cool idea (although no books for me, I've already got far too many on my shelves that I haven't read yet! Plus I get a discount at Blackwell's, which is nice )

Well, I`ve posted this on the official board, but I`ll repost it here too (the meeting part is towards the bottom of the scrawl ...

I hope to give unique perspective on seeing the BDM twice - and that will alos answer the question on staying power - was it `Shock and Awe` or is it `Silky Smooth Story Telling`.

Hopefully these answers and more will be answered afterwards - although I stick by the no-spoilers policy (although privately I may divulge a little)

So, get your questions ready and providing they aren`t spoilerific in nature, I`ll do my best to answer them.

(is `spoilerific` a word or have I just nominated for the New Oxford Dictionary ?)

If you want to linch me, I`ll be arriving in London around 13.30 and then heading towards Forbidden Planet for my ususual jaunt around there and then on for food at Pizza Hut before the Screening. I don`t know what I will be doing afterwards, there`s been nothing planned so far.

Oh no, Just heard, The screening has been postponed until the 22nd March at the earliest - this could mean they have done some serious work on the film or it could just be getting execs together to fly the `product` over

It is definitely set for 22nd now. Make sure location isn't disclosed publically online, folks.

Did you see the last showing? If you didn`t, you will receive preferential treatment.

I`m afraid that I will most likely be dropped, having seen it once already, it`s a shame, but a change of venue too, can only mean a much more `observed` audience

For those who don`t know, the date is the 22nd and the availability has been cut by 1/2.

basis for places is going to be based on 1stly people who cannot make the 22nd during daytime hours, poeple who have seen the 1st screening , if you actuially booked for Starfury Serenity and also who applied 1st.

I`m just going to have to wait and see, but not really hoping out for too much - considering the places went within 16 hours, seen the preview already, and may have a slight problem with the date, we will have to wait and see. I dare say there may not be anybody there who has seen the screening twice.

I don`t know when the decision will be made - but the fact that it is a weekday may be a determining factor.

What`s this about a HollyWood lifestyle? Just beacuse you have `SERENITY` in big letters on boards outside your house doesn`t mean you live in Hollywood

Nothing yet. I think Sean's still counting how many people can't make it.

I've just given up my ticket. I thought it was only fair since i saw Serenity the first time. Just have to stick to my Firefly DVDs for my fix until November.

Just had the email to confirm.

I am a go - Sean has mentioned that a few fans not on the list last time had tried to gain entry and if this happens again that Universal may not do this again.

It is a new venue and please don`t ask anyone to divulge it until at least after the event.

I`m going to be travelling down early afternoon and probably won`t have time for and special visits. but will probably have time for a drink afterwards and a little chat (but as it`s work the following day, I probably won`t be able to stay very long)

I don`t know how many other fans will have seen the viewing before - so I am going to provide a better `feel` for the screening and be able to hint at any changes (no spoilers though!)

We`ll see some of you there - and if not there then at the Serenity Con in April (6 weeks!)

Cheers!

I'm still going as well! Hurrah!

Tremendous relief... I'll definitely be up for a drink afterwards, I'll have plenty of time to get back to Oxford if the showing's so early!

Ok, well, the destination of the showing has been announced (privately) - There`s probably going to be a long wait afterwards for me, until that is I can get a coach back home.

So, if anybody wants to meetup afterwards - I`ll most likely want food and a cold drink.

Anyone fancy a Pizza (sorry I know I`m Pizza obsessed ) - there`s a Pizza Hut close by - drop me a `Private Message` from the `profile` tab to arrange.

I`ll most likely be wearing a brown suede jacket and a Slims Used Spacecraft Sales T-Shirt (received this week - most excellent T)

Not sure what I'll be wearing , but it'll most probably be an long sleeved t-shirt (possibly with Shaggy from Scooby Doo on it!), jeans and a black coat. Shame I haven't got any firefly related clothes, but never mind!

Pizza will probably be a good idea...
