my father was an officer in the Pacific during WWII
he never talked to anyone about his experiences,
he suppressed it all,
and it started to come out when my Mother was in the hospital once
(when they were both elderly)
see, he REALLY couldn't deal with her dying...
so he started to talk about all the other dying that he'd witnessed during the war
very disturbing stuff.

It is heartbreaking that so many of our best,
smartest, most deserving young people are suffering...
I am really happy that you are able to 'be there' for this one young woman.
