SOUPCATCHER

Much thanks, Embers!!

My favorite part (probably having something to do with my fanboy crush on Gina Torres):
Quote:

"I have the tightest pants in the movie," she says. "Thankfully, there was a little Spandex thrown in that mix, so I could have lunch."

Now I've got to figure out how to hang out on the set of the second movie .

BROWNCOAT1

May have been the losing side. Still not convinced it was the wrong one.

Shiny article!

I love seeing all of the coverage that Serenity is getting. The more buzz that gets created, the more likely the success of the BDM. Add to that the interest it will generate in the DVD set, and the new Browncoats that will flock to our banner, and our future is looking bright indeed!

ZOID

embers:

Thanks for finding that for us. SoupCatcher totally beat me to the punch with his commentary on Zoe Warren, Tightpanted Warrior Woman (a.k.a., Glorious Gina).

There was also a related link at the bottom of that page for a 22 Feb 05 article, conversing with Joss and Barry Mendel (exec prod). Here's that link: http://tinyurl.com/6dnb6 . It was mostly a rehash of previous words, but had some new (to me) insights y'all might want to read. Like Mendel saying of F*x:
Quote:

"I think they relinquished the rights because they knew Joss was on a mission from God to make this movie. They weren't going to be the people who went down in history as the people who were standing in the way of an artist, who'd been very good to them, doing what he wanted to do.

"Ultimately, to say whether it was the goodness of their souls or their concern about their reputations, that would be pure speculation on my part."

And Mary Parent saying doing a Firefly movie was "a no-brainer", insinuating the level of intelligence at F*x, heh-heh...

Thanks again, Mb-embers.

Great article. Thanks for the link.

Even if it does make me want to jump out of my skin I want to see that movie so badly. Serenity now! Serenity now!

(sorta works both with the Seinfeld meaning and what I really want)
