I'm writing a jeopardy style sci fi quiz for my uni club and in the science and technology category I plan to include a question about the Cortex but I can describe it very well. Can anyone help?

For those that don't know, a jeopardy "question" is really a clue, the contestant must answer in the form of a question e.g

Question: Brother of River, a trauma surgeon on Osiris who originally joined Serenity as a passenger before becoming the crew medic.
Ans: Who is Simon Tam

tricky, they never say more than necessary to get an idea of it. but if you google for world brain and related ideas like memex you might get an idea of what the internet could be and possibly what they had in mind with their "cortex".

The problem is it's never really described well in the series... It seems to be a sort of souped up internet.. but it's still fairly vague.

The Cortex seems to be the internet, telivision, and telephone service all rolled into one, not too dissimalr to Hotel tvs where you can access the internet and internet phones.
