Quote: So I was at the Buffy/Angel big (and last [sigh]) Posting Board Party (PBP) in L.A. over the week-end. It was my first and it was amazing. Apart from meeting cast members and listening to great music, while doing a good deed (everything went to Make-A-Wish... A $30,000 check was presented to Joss; Go Bronzers!), there were some great Firefly surprises. First Ron Glass and Summer Glau were there and I had a chance to talk to them a little bit. They are of course lovely. Ron looked surprised that so many people recognized him; I complimented him about the character of Book and he really looked disappointed that he had to leave that character. Then Joss came over to hug him and they really seemed to have a good time. I got a great picture with both of them. Summer was not far. My God is she adorable! And sweet. She was also more than happy to sign autographs and pose for pictures and talk about River. What poise; what elegance! You can see right away that she is a ballet dancer. She is also pretty tall. Anyway it was amazing enough to see them in person. Then when Joss was on stage accepting the check, he announced that Firefly was not over and that we needed to get ourselves ready for what was next (I did not get everything he said on that subject because of the loud crowd, but if anyone here was there, please fill in the blanks). Another highlight for me was to win Blue Sun T-Shirts at the raffle. Yellow logo over blue. Yoohoo!! They also had signed scripts which I really wanted (including "Mrs. Reynolds" and "Out of Gas" [sigh])but the silent auction went up to $125, which was well deserved but not something I could afford. Anyway I don't mean to brag at all; just wanted to share these Firefly-related events. Everyone's spirits seemed up, which was reassuring. Joss and Ron made lots of jokes and seemed truly honored that people missed Firefly. In any event, it was nice to hear that they're not giving up and are aware that fans are out there supporting them.

Quote:Um...not to be difficult but I never heard Joss mention Firefly nor did anyone else I know. When he said that it wasn't over yet, most of us figured he was talking about the BtVS/Angel mythology.

Quote:Originally posted by SergeantX: Personally, I think the silence from Joss and Tim over the last month speaks volumes, specially given the sets being torn down, the actors moving on, etc, etc... Sorry to be a downer, but this hanging by a thread thing is getting old. Those fuckers at Fox killed Firefly. All we can do is wait for ME's revenge - might be a couple of years. All my opinion of course.

May have been the losing side. Still not convinced it was the wrong one.
