Hi everyone, how about a UK shindig? Preferably during the holidays,so everyone can come. I think it would be brilliant! What about everyone else. I just really want to have a shindig but can't figure out the whens and wheres n stuff. what does everyone think? Somewhere in the middle of the UK so people can all get there, or shall we just head for London? any ideas would be great.

...and we will call it...this land...

There have, of course, already been several Shindigs in the UK. I've been to one in Manchester and one in Bradford. Many are held quite regularly (there have been at least 3 in Manchester), so it's probably easiest if you look for a regular Shindig near you.

Another site to look for Shindigs is the 'Versal board. And it now has a "search" option, which might help. At the moment, though, most people are probably preparing for the Serenity convention in London rather than organising Shindigs.

However, to get you started, I've provided a link to UK Shindig in may. However, it's not very central!

I am hoping to arrange a shindig in August to coincide with the collectors' fair called Memorabilia in Birmingham. Go to http://uk.groups.yahoo.com/group/browncoatsmemo for further details and watch it unfold before your eyes! I would also beg other UK Browncoats to consider helping here too! Come and join us, we are few in number but mighty in spirit!

ps Steve you forgot to mention the Grimsby shindig - Independents' Day! Shame on you!

I figured it would take too long to list all the Shindigs I haven't been to. I ought to try to attend more of them. I am interested in Memorabilia in Birmingham, but can't make any firm commitment yet, which isn't very helpful, I know. Sorry.

We are "hoping" to hold a shindig in Birmingham in August to coincide with Memorabilia at the NEC. If our plans come together we hope to arrange an evening event on Saturday 13th August.

The discussion group for this potential shindig is to be found at....

Please come and join then you will hear straight away what's happening.
