So, on the MSN home page they have an article by a sadly confused fella.

So, since he put frelling UFO and orginal BSG in there but no Firefly, I had to write him this:

Best scifi - where's FIREFLY?
I have to take exception to your list of best Science Fiction shows.
Although I enjoyed UFO (I was 10, forgive me) I think it was more style than substance. Gull wing cars and futuristic costumes don’t make up for lack of storylines. UFO lacked a continuous theme. The stories went no where and nothing much ever happened. If it weren’t for the cars and sets, I would have forgotten it by now.

Having the original Battlestar Galactica make your list just makes me shake my head in wonderment. It was the only science fiction available that year and it still left a stench in the air. The stories were weak and don’t stand the test of time. It was less a show about the aftermath of genocide and struggle for survival than it was a showcase for blow dry hair product!

The biggest mistake with your list is the severe lack of “Firefly”. Joss Whedon’s view of the future is the finest 14 hours of television ever created. Firefly was everything “Enterprise” wasn’t … i.e., interesting, superbly written and brilliantly acted. Firefly’s faithful fans (Browncoats) are going to be rewarded come September 30th when the feature film “Serenity” premieres.

In the recent interview with Adam Baldwin and Nathan Fillion on Ain't It Cool News Nathan mentions several time how he's a big fan of the Halo video game, so being a fan myself, I sent it in as a possible news story to the Halo.Bungie.Org site, and it was picked up.

I'm sure there are more than a few Halo browncoats out there, maybe Nathan can make a few more.
