Hope that subject line caught your attention. This is the scoop from the theater manager.

When the website was live 192 tickets were sold. Somehow some people were able to purchase 12 at a time.

The website went down allowing the 30 or so people in line in front of the actual theater at 11am to buy tix. They were limited to 1 pair each.

The remainder of the 300 tickets were saved by Universal/Corporate.

I was able to get a pair. But I know of 1 Browncoat in particular that was screwed. So if anyone has 1 extra ticket, I'd be appreciated (not just spiritually but with a reasonable amount of money).

EDIT: Miscommunication with another friend...so my "screwed" friend landed herself a ticket.

I just got off the phone with the theater. They had 15 seats left, but you have to physically go to the theater and plunk down your money to buy the tix.

I need at least 4. Anyone willing to run 'em for me? I'll buy?

I and some friends of mine live in the atlanta area each of us were independently trying to get tickets for the movie. Due to various reasons the main one being the site being shut down NOT ONE was able to get even one ticket. I would do anything for anyone right now to get my hands on just one of those tix. If anyone in the atlanta area bought 12 just to sell some let me know. I won't like you but I,ll buy. nrw1100@alltel.net

The poster of said contest did the right thing to do and took it down. Please don't drag out the situation now that it is over. Thanks to anyone who put pressure on the person.

Not 300 to 'versal. I meant it as Universal/somebody reserved = 300 - 192 - (20 or 30 *2) so 40ish give or take.

I really hope those folks that bought 12 tickets are NOT doing them to make money off fellow Browncoats by scalping. That seem right to you?

I am to misbehave.

I called the theater at 11:00 and 6:00 today. I spoke with two different guys. They both told me the screening was sold out and there was no other way to get tickets. I only need one ticket (but I know a fellow flan who'd love a second ticket), so if anyone has even the one... Who was buying up 12 at a time? I've been checking ebay. Nothing's there. You can email me at missroon at gmail dot com.

Why are you still arguing what's been decided?

Gaaah! I seem to have missed out big time... I really wish I would have found out about this like 24 hours sooner.... I live in Atlanta and the Hollywood 24 is like the only theater I go to. Would have been awesome to see this on May 5.

Aiee... I am an Atlantan without a ticket. I would love to go! I've converted a large number of people into hardcore fans, so I would want as many tickets as I could get, but I would settle for as few as one. This may be a lost cause, but can anybody help me out???

THANKS!!!

If you go to the cantstopthesignal message board on the official Serenity movie site. There's a guy on there offeirng up to 2 extra tickets to "hotties[female] that are browncoats". The piece of garbage is requesting pictures be sent and a 'why he should take you' email.

I'm posting about it cause I know people want tickets, but I'd rather hope all us Browncoats join me in shaming him out of the disgraceful, appalying, and frankly fucking despicable behavior.
