Don't know if anyone has asked this before but do we have any idea of how many hits and downloads "Serenity" is getting on the apple web site?

Good question. I know I personally can account for a few...... dozen....:)

I wonder if we can get a number from Apple.

Someone did post the hits that his mirror site took on the first day. He claimed the first day that the trailer was online, his mirror site took around 7000 hits. He also claimed that was probably only about 1% of what the Apple site probably took.

Oh, and play Cantr II at www.cantr.net.

I'm curious too. I bet Apple reports the numbers to Universal, so maybe Universal or Joss will share the info sometime.

Also, I bet that 7000 is far LESS than 1% of what Apple's getting. Especially since iTunes also has movie trailers that include Firefly, besides just going to Apple.com.

And Apple's using Serenity as one of a handful of movies to showcase Tiger and the new HDTV video capabilities of QuickTime 7. Only two full 1080p examples are available there for download, and Serenity is one of them. (Gates of Heaven is the other maybe?)

I assume that both trailers are also running as HD demos on those big displays at Apple stores too. I'll have to check. (And start the trailer running if it's not!)
