I think Penny-Arcade is prolly one of the more popular online comics out there, specially in the video game world, and its great to see them giving Serenity good press, will be great for the movie.. plus river is really made out of chocolate!

If they do more on Serenity I'll definitely read the strips -- their art and colored panels are really great -- but I'll be damned if I can understand even a half of one percent of what they're talking about when it comes to gaming and such. It's still cool to read, tho.

A few years back or so I know they posted about how disappointed they were that FOX cancelled the show. Basically Tycho tried to convince people to buy the dvd and I'm certain Serenity will garner a bunch of new fans from this great publicity.

I remember talking with Gabe and Tycho about Firefly at the San Diego Comic Con. It was pretty awesome, because I absolutely adore Penny Arcade.

I think Tycho's favorite episode was "Our Mrs. Reynolds," if I recall correctly.

While some of the comics require a significant knowledge of the gaming scene, they usually post a bit of background to assist - but in the main they are just damned funny.

A few weeks ago they hit a streak where I was laughing out loud with every new comic - great news that Dark Horse might be publishing some of their stuff.

It's a really funny comic, I sent that link to all the serenity posse that I know.

Hmm... the boyfriend likes Guided by Voices. I'll accept that some of their stuff is good but 'tis a little strange for me. Damn good band name and loved that "what shitty band are you in" shirt. Amazing!

Ah, GBV, they will be missed. Never really seemed to take off, but they seem to have influenced a hell of a lot of bands.

Having flown to the US to see one of their final dates, I've now to decide whether to book a holiday around a certain date in September. I think we all know what the answer to that will be...
