According to the guide on my tv they're starting with 'Serenity' which is good news. :)

Although, I'm wondering if Sci-fi will show the original broadcast version (with Mal talking about the 'Earth-that-was' at the start of each episode) or the DvD version.

I'll be watching too!

Good point - must set recorder - I want that voice over.

As it`s scifi, they played it a couple of times before now with the voice over but my video recorde was packing up! Iknow have a shiny DVD recorder.

Is there an on-line listing for the UK scifi channel?

Cheers

Amusingly, they are doing a first (I think) and airing Serenity in two halves - the "Who is River?" part airs next Wednesday at 8pm.

Hmm, Interesting edit, they put the credits straight after the Battle of Serenity and then adverts where the credits are on the DVD`s

makes wierd viewing

They also edited a small amount of the violence, but left in Jayne saying puddle of piss lol.

I have to admit, this is the first time I've ever actually seen Firefly on TV, and it's weird seeing it with adverts! I think I actually like it in a way - gives me time to nip for tea etc during ad breaks.

(How very english of me).

It does seem strange watching it with ads but I remember watching it a while back on sci-fi and it was interesting to see the way some of the suspense moments work with the adverts.

I don't have Sky but I remember Dad seeing Firefly in the TV guide once and meaning to watch it, but it was Heart of Gold and he missed it and then didn't see it in the guide again.

Must make him watch the first half of Serenity when he visits at the weekend and then force him into watching the rest at a later date!

Oh, checking the radio times website I see it's repeated on Sunday. Shiny! Although he probably won't be home then from the football, I'll have to get his wife to tape it for him :D

Had to go drag out the DVD's - couldn't wait til next wek to watch the second part. I noticed the editing, eek. Never mind - means I can tell a few folks to watch who ain't seen it yet. Shiny. Always an upside.

"This movie may be a beautiful butterfly, but I loved that damn caterpillar." Joss Whedon.

You know DVD players do have pause buttons...

I bet when the film comes out one of the terrestrial channels will pick it up. Fox are going to make lots of money from Firefly this autumn and will be kicking themselves in the head because they could have made more.
