But, has anyone gotten confirmation that these are screenings of "SERENITY" ????????

I can find the links, see the term advance screening, but do we know if it's SERENITY. I try calling the theatres and they have nothing listed, (automated system)

ok..Austin was up, I got tickets. I have the confirmation in my hot little hands, and one also sent to my email.

A friend went to order tix...got most of the way through the process, then got an internal error and now the listing has disappeared from the site. Strange.

Webmaster: Well, I would but there is a slight problem.

UNI EXEC: What problem is that?

Webmaster: Well you see, all the tickets have already been sold.

UNI EXEC: (after moment of silence) Fuck it. We'll just release the movie tomorrow.

Who knows, maybe someone near Philly bought a D.C. ticket before the Philly ones went on sale. There might be a trade possible./

If you find yourself with an extra ticket SoS, let me know. If you can part with it, I would be very much obliged.

I am still getting the "can't process your request" error msg for both DC & Philly.

My friend tried to get in and hit a page saying it was sold out, but I was able to buy two more tickets from my computer. So I would keep checking back regularly, but not so much that you crash Fandango

Hey guys... I have a question that bothers me.

How do we know that these sneak previews we are finding are all of Serenity? What guarantee do you have that you might not be getting the next Adam Sandler movie?

I suppose that if you are buying a 5/26 sneak preview ticket to the same theater in Austin that showed Serenity last Thursday, you could be reasonably sure.

But when you find an unnamed sneak preview in a different town like Dallas? I'm new to this, so maybe you folks know something about this process that I don't. I'm just hoping for enlightenment...

Don't give up if it says sold out. Rumor has it some sold out theaters are upgrading the screening to a larger room and will have more tickets to sell later.

As of 11am (California time), San Francisico is SOLD OUT (I called the theater first, they had six tickets through movietickets.com - when I got through the registration process for the site three minutes later, they were sold out! I called movie-tickets.com customer service to be sure)

Roseville (near sacramento) has not recieved official word whether or not they will show the film again (comes directly from the theater). Added to this, Fandango is not showing a listing for the 26th)

I called the Atlanta theater directly and they said it was sold out. Bummer!

Hey, first post, wondered around FFF.net for over a year. 'Bout time.

Boston is selling tickets again - http://www.fandango.com/TheaterPage.aspx?date=05/26/2005&tid=AAPNV

Also, if that sells out, try Providence, RI - THEY STILL HAVE TICKETS (as of 2:30pm, May 9th Eastern time). I just got one 30 minutes ago! Transit time between Downtown Boston and Providence = 60 - 75 minutes right down 95(especially in the evening). Worth it, I think. The theater is right off the highway, real easy to get to for out-of-towners.

Last updated 11:57 AM. I am currently in class, until 1:00 PM, and thus am updating less frequently.

All times in this post are my (Pacific) time.

Feel free to copy/paste this entire post to other Firefly forums, but please credit http://www.JacquelinePassey.com/ and let people know they can go there for updates.

Here is a list of cities with links to buy tickets. The tickets will say they are to "Special Advance Preview" instead of Serenity. Many are currently showing as sold out, however, there are rumors about possibly upgrading some of the sold out screenings to larger rooms with more seats or adding additional theaters.

Atlanta, GA http://tinyurl.com/7dfdx (11:00 AM rumored sold out, someone called the theater)
Austin, TX http://tinyurl.com/87fqo (11:25 AM rumored sold out, someone called the theater)
Boston, MA http://tinyurl.com/9947j (11:43 AM rumored selling tickets again, possible theater upgrade?)
Chicago, IL http://tinyurl.com/ey9wo (11:26 AM rumored sold out, someone called the theater)
Dallas, TX http://tinyurl.com/ax5s5
Denver, CO http://tinyurl.com/8qytg
Kansas City, MO http://tinyurl.com/dwfqq
Las Vegas, NV http://tinyurl.com/a46tv
Miami, FL http://tinyurl.com/77t32
Norfolk, VA http://tinyurl.com/czddo
Philadelphia, PA http://tinyurl.com/7wk9c (11:41 AM rumored selling tickets again, possible theater upgrade?)
Phoenix, AZ http://tinyurl.com/dp63y
Providence, RI http://tinyurl.com/8zp5o (as of 11:30 AM Pacific / 2:30 PM Eastern rumored to still have tickets, as of 11:55 AM rumored to have added a second theater)
San Francisco, CA http://tinyurl.com/a3r7y (11:15 AM rumored sold out, someone called the theater)
Seattle, WA http://tinyurl.com/ccjjz (11:00 AM rumored sold out, someone called the theater)
Washington DC http://tinyurl.com/d9pcl (10:48 AM rumored sold out, someone called the theater)

Other cities that will have screenings but I do not have links for yet:

Hartford, CT (11:43 AM call automated phone line to buy tickets 1 860 646 9800)
Minneapolis, MN
Portland, OR (11:00 AM rumored not selling tickets until May 18, someone called the theater)
Sacramento, CA

Please post complete links to any other ticket sales pages for other cities you find in the comments on my blog.

The official site for this stuff is http://www.cantstopthesignal.com/ but it was not being updated most of the morning. As of 10:55 AM they have finally updated it with a list of theaters and contact info! As of 11:34 AM contact info has been removed from that site, the theaters were complaining about the deluge of calls. :)

I am monitoring Browncoats, FireflyFans.net, Livejournal, Serenity Spoilers, and Whedonesque. (At lot of these sites are crashing right now as fans scramble for tickets, though.) Please let me know if there are other forums I should be checking for updates on screenings.

Huh???

No! I hadn't seen it until just now! I have had problems accessing any site due to traffic and fooling w/ Fandango trying to get tix for either DC or Philly. I had no luck w/ either and they have since sold out.

Last updated 12:45 PM. I am currently in class, until 1:00 PM, and thus am updating less frequently.

All times in this post are my (Pacific) time. I use the word "rumored" because I have not personally verified any of this information and do not want to be sued.

Feel free to copy/paste this entire post to other Firefly forums, but please credit http://www.JacquelinePassey.com/ and let people know they can go there for updates.

12:25 PM Does "sold out" really mean sold out? Rumor has it there is a glitch with Fandango where it will tell you "sold out" after the ticketing process but is not actually sold out -- if it is actually sold out you will be told that after clicking on the 10:00 PM showtime.

Here is a list of cities with links to buy tickets. The tickets will say they are to "Special Advance Preview" instead of Serenity. Many are currently showing as sold out, however, there are rumors about possibly upgrading some of the sold out screenings to larger rooms with more seats or adding additional theaters.

Boston, MA http://tinyurl.com/9947j (12:10 PM rumored sold out again, checked online, but see nearby Providence RI below)
Chicago, IL http://tinyurl.com/ey9wo (11:26 AM rumored sold out, checked online, by phone, and in person)
Dallas, TX http://tinyurl.com/ax5s5
Denver, CO http://tinyurl.com/8qytg

Miami, FL http://tinyurl.com/77t32
Norfolk, VA http://tinyurl.com/czddo
Philadelphia, PA http://tinyurl.com/7wk9c (12:43 PM rumored sold out, checked in person)
Phoenix, AZ http://tinyurl.com/dp63y
Portland, OR http://tinyurl.com/8l6zr (12:35 PM rumor has it Portland was glitchy for a while and reporting sold out, but now people are able to buy tickets for 9:55 PM)
Providence, RI http://tinyurl.com/8zp5o (as of 11:30 AM Pacific / 2:30 PM Eastern rumored to still have tickets, as of 11:55 AM rumored to have added a second theater)
San Francisco, CA http://tinyurl.com/a3r7y (11:15 AM rumored sold out, checked online and by phone)
Seattle, WA http://tinyurl.com/ccjjz (11:00 AM rumored sold out, checked online and by phone)
Washington DC http://tinyurl.com/d9pcl (10:48 AM rumored sold out, checked online and by phone)

The official website for this information http://www.cantstopthesignal.com/ appears to be updating now.

Officially SOLD OUT: Atlanta, Austin, Boston, Chicago, Dallas, Denver, Hartford, Kansas City, Las Vegas, Minneapolis, Philadelphia, Phoenix, San Francisco, Seattle, Washington DC.

Tickets possibly still available:

Miami, FL http://tinyurl.com/77t32
Norfolk, VA http://tinyurl.com/czddo
Portland, OR http://tinyurl.com/8l6zr
Providence, RI http://tinyurl.com/8zp5o (rumor has it they added a second theater)
Sacramento, CA http://tinyurl.com/a62vv
Does "sold out" really mean sold out? Some of the "possibly still available" cities are rumored to be "sold out". However there are other rumors that is just a software glitch, and if it is really sold out it will tell you as soon as you click on the screening time, not at the end of the purchasing process.

Tickets are already being resold on eBay: http://tinyurl.com/drgox

I am monitoring Browncoats, FireflyFans.net, Livejournal, Serenity Spoilers, and Whedonesque for updates.

The official website for this information http://www.cantstopthesignal.com/ appears to be updating now.

Officially SOLD OUT: Atlanta, Austin, Boston, Chicago, Dallas, Denver, Hartford, Kansas City, Las Vegas, Minneapolis, Philadelphia, Phoenix, Portland, Providence, San Francisco, Seattle, Washington DC.

Tickets possibly still available:

Miami, FL http://tinyurl.com/77t32
Norfolk, VA http://tinyurl.com/czddo
Sacramento, CA http://tinyurl.com/a62vv
Does "sold out" really mean sold out? Some of the "possibly still available" cities are rumored to be "sold out" online. However there are other rumors that is just a software glitch, and if it is really sold out it will tell you as soon as you click on the screening time, not at the end of the purchasing process. You might want to check with the theater directly if http://www.cantstopthesignal.com/ claims they have tickets but the ticket website claims they're sold out.

Tickets are already being resold on eBay: http://tinyurl.com/drgox

Thanks to the posters on Browncoats, FireflyFans.net, Livejournal, Serenity Spoilers, and Whedonesque for updates throughout the day!

According to Fandago, the Norfolk,VA screening is already sold out!! I'm very depressed, but I'm still going to call the theatre in the morning to make sure it is in fact sold out.

Thanks to the commenters on my blog and the posters on Browncoats, FireflyFans.net, Livejournal, Serenity Spoilers, and Whedonesque for updates throughout the day!

For those of you who didn't see this post until after everything was over, I'd posted a list of cities, links to buy tickets, and rumors about the May 26th sneak preview screenings for the Firefly movie Serenity to my blog ( http://www.JacquelinePassey.com/) and various fan sites. Tickets started selling around 3 or 4 AM Pacific time for Seattle with other cities added throughout the morning but the official website was not being updated. Lots of scattered information was being posted to various fan message boards but there was no central collection of links and information. So I took it upon myself to create it! It was a wild ride as I updated this post with new information every 10-15 minutes all morning until the official site started updating again this afternoon.

Thanks again to everyone who helped or paid my blog a visit today. Enjoy the movie!

BROWNCOAT1

May have been the losing side. Still not convinced it was the wrong one.

Ruttin' luck!

I tried for HOURS to get tickets to either DC, Philly or Norfolk. I was on the phone while the wife was online. We struck out all the way around.

Guess I am not meant to see the BDM until September. *sighs*
