I saw this on zap2it.com with an article about recent casting in Hollywood.

"Also at NBC, Nathan Fillion (last seen on FOX's "Firefly") will star in the comedy "Alligator Point" as a fisherman in a quirky Florida town."

Here's the complete article (Nathan is last paragraph):

I'm strongly considering having a SoCal Shindig around the time they film the pilot, and getting tickets for everyone who comes. We'll sneak in a banner that says "We love you, Cap'n Tightpants!" or somesuch.

Early: You ever been raped, Kaylee?
Kaylee: You know, it's funny you should mention that... ever heard of the Fox network?

Hmm. I think Nathan Fillion deserves more than a network sitcom. He's so much bigger than comedy.

Hmmm.

Has YOUR mom seen Firefly, lately?

Maybe, but he does seem to like doing them. Might be that comedy is what he enjoys.

Good to see he's found work, but eh... sitcom?? with a laff track? sounds like 'work' alright. Once you been in Serenity.....

May have been the losing side. Still not convinced it was the wrong one.

I wish there was more than one line to tell us a bit more about the show, unless at this point there is nothing more to tell.

I will watch the show just because it has Nathan in it. Hopefully it will last a while, or if nothing else, it will lead to bigger and better things for Nathan.

ALLIGATOR POINT (NBC) - Nathan Fillion ("Firefly") has been set as the lead in the Peacock's comedy pilot from Kelsey Grammer's Grammnet Productions. The comedy has been described as "'Cheers' in a Florida oyster bar." Fillon had previously signed a talent holding deal with NBC.
