okay, i have a $25 gift certificate to amazon.com and i want to buy something. obviously. i am torn. i have been toying with the idea of buying full seasons of angel (i do not own any) but am not sure if they are worth the investment because i am not so sure i would watch them all that much. what do you think? should i just buy season 1 (at a hefty discount, i might add) or should i wait for something else to come along? this coupon does not expire for about a year and a half so i have some time.

Important people don't do field work.

Get it! Or watch it on TNT. But, the first season of Angel is GREAT! Definitely worth watching, and I have watched my set over and over again. The first episode is great...The first two discs are pretty good, and The entire season is fantastic...Season wide character arcs, and, as we all know...Series wide character arcs that are introduced in the first season!

i have watched the entire run of the show on TNT. of course, TNT edits out stuff and they put in commercial breaks in the oddest places. i think someone is just messing with the viewers.

You know that 'Serenity' will be out on DVD within the next year!
I think I would wait for that...
cause you KNOW you'll be watching that a lot!

HELL'S KITTEN

Hmmm... good question. Angel season 1 was pretty good. But that leads to seasons 2 and 3, which were okay. And then you get to season 4, which I thought was the worst, and you're left with season 5, which I thought was the best. I guess what I'm sayin' is if you buy season 1, you'll either have to get the remaining 4 seasons or suffer incompletedness. Perhaps that only bothers me, though.

Instead, think about getting Dead Like Me (only has 2 seasons, second of which will be out July) or Profit (only partial season; out in August). Or send your gift certificate to me and I'll buy you somethin'.

Can I make a small pitch for Wonderfalls? It also comes complete with the benefit that you won't have to buy any more DVDs to complete the series.

My own opinion is that if you're not sure, you probably don't need anything. Something will eventually present itself as a "must have". As Embers points out, Serenity will be coming out by then!
