F*x Strikes Again (Complete Fall Network TV Schedules announced)

2 Things.

1: The Inside (Minear's running the show, with Adam Baldwin) which starts on F*x on June 8th (I think). It's not listed in the fall lineup, which either means they didn't order enough episodes to last past the summer, or they're already planning on canceling it. The voices whispering in my head tell me I'm just being paranoid.

2: So CBS announced that Buffy alum Alyson Hannigan's new sitcom "How I Met Your Mother" will be on Mondays at 8:30. After this announcement, F*x announced it's lineup. Guess where they put the new sitcom with Buffy alum Nick Brendan (not really "his" show; his is a supporting role), "Kitchen Confidential?" Yup, Mondays at 8:30. They just don't want us to be happy.

Ok, in all seriousness, I think it's just a coincidence that those shows ended up at the same time. But I bet a few of the evil execs got a kick out of it once they realized it.

Good thing I know how to program my VCR. Although "Kitchen" sounds like it'll suck.

Check out "Bones" (David Boreanaz) and "Close to Home" (Christian Kane). Amy Acker is in The Unit, which I read elsewhere will be a midseason replacement. No sign of Soccer Moms (Gina Torres) or Alan Tudyk's show (did it ever get a name?). I read somewhere on FFF.net already that Haley's Comet (Sean Maher) got cut.

This isn't Fox, but it's just as annoying:

ABC moved "Lost" to Wednesdays at 9. UPN moved "Veronica Mars" to Wednesdays at 9. Are they completely psychotic? Those two shows have a major overlap of fans. I fear for Veronica.

Then again, perhaps Fox is still somehow responsible. It is their M.O.

Just to clarify what's going on with The Inside...

The Inside starts in a few weeks. It's on a 13 episode run (they've already shot up to episode 10 I believe)... Which will take it to August.

If it's a success on airing, they'll likely pick up more episodes, which will kick something off schedule in the fall.

So, anyway, don't be concerned. If Fox wanted to kill The Inside, it'd be on Friday. It ain't - it's on prime time Wednesday, American Idols old time slot (!).

Good point! Knowing Fox, there'll be plenty of choice timeslots to pick from just four weeks into the season.

If they are planning on doing next season, what they did this season, there will be several shows that won't actually begin their seasons until November - so I'm not too concerned yet.
