I've been poking around for t-shirt designs that can be printed out for iron-on transfers, and I can't seem to come up with much. Anybody have ones they'd like to share? I'm looking to make my own t-shirt for the screenings on Thursday, so it's a bit of a crunch. I have a white shirt and a black shirt, but I don't think normal transfer sheets work on black shirts, so I doubt I can use one there...

Thanks in advance to anyone who shares some/can point me in the right direction!

You can get dark fabric transfers, but they work so-so. It's not as good as a screen-printed t-shirt, but it'll do in a pinch.

They didn't have those at the store I checked at. :/ I think I'll just use the white t-shirt, at least I know it should work well. ^_^

It seems to me that the simplest thing is always just to type out your favorite quote (or wittily-altered quote) and then print that out - that way there's no graphics to find online and there's less to go wrong.
It's a great opportunity to say something obscure on your T-shirt - after all, when else will you ever be in a crowd that you KNOW will get it?

There's always the classic Blue Sun (midway down this page):

Ooohhh! NIFTY!

Though, how does one get that to print? Do you resize it before you print, or something different? It's late and I'm a bit slow ^_^ I only have a normal everyday (kind of old) inkjet printer.

Well, I didn't print them full size (my husband thought the logo would be too big for some of the smaller shirts we were making) so I resized it using Photoshop and printed two per page, landscape mode. If all else fails, you might be able to print it directly from your web browser. I just have a normal everyday printer as well.

One tip - try printing it on normal paper first to make sure the color intensity, size, etc. is OK - we found out that we have to up the printer resolution in order to get a decent ink density so the design doesn't look faded or washed out. Good thing we didn't put that on a t-shirt before we figured that out!

Here's another possible suggestion: take any of the comic book covers and (since it has a white background) put it on the white shirt with a quote from the trailer or series (in Papyrus font of course) and badaboom! Big Damn T-shirt! BTW, which screening are you going to?

P.S. - All of the comic book covers are in the Blue Sun Room here, or at the Official Browncoats site, at http://browncoats.serenitymovie.com/serenity/index.html?fuseaction=too

Coincidence! CSteinme and I were working on T-shirts to promote our Orlando Premiere Shindig at the Miami prescreening.

I'll upload the pdf file in the blue sun room. You should be able to open and modify in Photoshop...

Darn! The pdf was too big and psd (photoshop file) is not allowed. I had to upload the lower res jpg file.

Anyway, if you have Adobe Illustrator, I recommend you open the jpg in that program, make it a pdf or ai file and print that onto your transfer. It makes a bigger file and takes longer to print but the super crisp image and colors are worth it!!

If you can't do that, don't worry it still makes a pretty good image printed out as a jpg image...

I only have Paint Shop Pro (I used to have Adobe PS 7...curse you Windows crash!) but I assume I can figure out something using that. I'm not quite sure which design I'll use yet, but yours is nifty! I'll work with changing the location, I'm sure I can figure out a way. ^_^
