I'll spare the messy details, but when I was on chemo I discovered that this sort of product is rather essential ... even when you're at home and handy to the bathroom. I'd say "Serenity" is a good name for them ... much better than "Anti-Stress-Induced-Heart-Attack-From-Sudden-Unexpected-Incontinence Pad".

"Serenity" rolls of the tongue just that much better.

I never got to watch Buffy, so I don't know any of the character names (beyond the title character).

I'm thinking a tampon line should be named after one of the vampires, then the tagline could be "(brand x) tampons: they *really* suck!"

You know, I'd been on this site for about 6 weeks when I posted in this forum. As I recall, I had finally gotten over my initial shyness, started Shadow War...But, I do remember this thread quite a bit. It was the first real time I had felt like I had gotten a laugh here. Tell me about it, ages and ages ago when I started following the BDH I typed serenity into google and got incontinence pads. Do it now though and you get IMDB, the official site and the Apple trailer. Poor old incontincence pads have been relegated to fourth - the company must be pee'd.

As a person named Serenity, I have always disliked Serenity pads. People say to me "You're name's Serenity? Like the diapers for old people?" and the like. Not a fun game.

But several of you have made me laugh, and I appreciate that.

I can't wait until people say "You're name's really Serenity? Like that really great movie I saw?"
