WINTERFELL

Hey fellow Browncoats... Not really firefly related, but my heavy metal band is releasing a new album this summer and I invite you all to take a listen to a few of our sound clips at my web site. If you aren't big into metal, I can describe us as a classic metal sound (Iron maiden, judas priest) with clean vocals. if you know all about metal, think prog-power metal (iced earth, symphony x, etc.) Anyway, we are mostly into writing fantasy themed songs, hence the name Winterfell (from George RR Martin's A song of Ice and Fire). Anyway, check it out.

I'm not a George R.R. Martin fan, but the Metal cought my eye (ear?). I listened to the clips and liked them quite a bit. Good stuff. Good luck on the album release. I'd love to hear more....

George R.R. Martin is a God... When oh when will the next book Feast of Crows arrive??

Not so much with the metal though...

Amazon has release date for Feast of Crows as July 26, 2005, which I think is over a year past when it was originally to be released. If you visit Martin's webpage he answers the question of why he is taking so long. Apparently, he has a life or something and is busy doing other things than finishing this new book for his rabid fans. The nerve! I, like you and others have been dieing for the next book in this fabulous series. Joking aside though, I hope that he takes as long as he needs to make it great!

Oh don't worry, I'm well up on Mr Martin's doings... I've probably checked the website almost every day since the beginning of the year. Doesn't make it any less painful though!
