I had posted this on another thread, but I think it warrants it's own or at least another mention.

I don't know how many are familiar with the Micro Machines Action Fleet line. It was made by Galoob, now Hasbro. They made smaller(not miniature) versions of the Star Wars, Aliens, Predator ships. Recently I sent this email to Hasbro and here is the response.

"Hi, I was wondering, like many others, if you plan to resurrect the Micro Machine Action Fleet line for any of the new space movies specifically the new Serenity movie. This movie has a HUGE fan following that would eagerly snap up anything to do with the movie or preceeding series, Firefly, created by Joss Whedon of Buffy the Vampire Slayer and Angel fame. See the following website for info www.fireflyfans.net. And here http://browncoats.serenitymovie.com/serenity/index.html?fuseaction=too

.
Thank-you for your time,
Dale."

"Dear Dale,

Thank you for contacting us regarding the Micro Machines Action Fleet Line.
We appreciate your interest in our products.

Presently we have no plans in the near future of releasing any new Micro Machines.
I shall gladly share your interest with the appropriate department to share your comments for future consideration.

Thank you,

Patty Moye

Not exactly what you are after but there`s a model kit available (for professionals to build) - it requires a lot of work to produce a finished article, and may not be for a lot of people but, check out the bluesun item

Thanks ZOL. I think I had seen that one before. A little too intensive for my liking. I don't know if you've ever seen these Action Fleet ships before. Nice detail and not too big or small. It would fit on my bookself right nicely. And, no I don't have the others but....if I saw the Millenium Falcon....that's another story...
