I was watching the Serenity trailer again (thought I'd watch the hi-res QT one now that QT7 for Windows came out). Is it just me or does the trailer feature sound in space?

One of the many things I loved about FireFly was the brave move not to have sound in space. I figured it might have just been a trailer thing but for anyone who has seen the film is there sound in space?

I have seen the BDM, and although the sound was not the final mix, I can tell you that in general there is not sound in space. There are some battle scenes that take place in a planet's atmosphere, and a large portion of the final battle takes place in a nebula/gas cloud, and those areas have sound.

I shouldn`t worry too muchg about this `sound in space` thing, I agree with the other comment to a certain extent, but sound is added to increase the drama in films, Okay so Starwars went overboard - but the Serenity Movie sceenings I have seen it was adequete and not overboard - you must remember that some of these space scenes may feature a music score for some of the space scenes.

Oh, I don't mind music and such like. I also understand why you add sound in space. I just liked FireFly not adding sound in. Battlestar Galactica (the new one) kinda nearly gets there with "in space it is a bit mute".

I don't really think it is a spoiler but in reply to SPIKEANDJEZEBEL's special spoiler place:

Great. I'm not sure how much gas that nebula is meant to have but that makes me happy. I would have watched the film either way, of course, it's not like I'm that bothered by it. It's just good to know :D.
