I know it's a long shot, but I have to ask.

Hi,

I don't have a ticket for you but go over to
http://firefly.meetup.com/12/
and post on the message boards. A lot of folks in Vancouver bought extra tickets with the express intention of redistributing them to Browncoats and keeping them out of the scalper's hands. I got my ticket from the lovely folks at this site.

Thanks for the link. They are giving out spare tickets in a very organized fashion, based on seniority. I, being from Calgary, rank right up there with the Alliance. On the brighter side, at least I don't have to blow cash on the air ticket!

Yeah, I was going to sign up (not going myself but looking for a ticket for a friend) but with the "seniority" thing, there's no way I'd get one. So why bother signing up? Seemed very clique-ish to me. I'll have a better chance hoping for another Vancouver showing and just helping my friend get a ticket from movietickets.com next time.

I suppose you can't blame them for looking after their own, right? We'd probably do that in Calgary, too, if we had the BDM screening. And enough fans to form a meetup. =)

I had a friend in Van trying to get tickets, too. She called up later to see if she actually managed to buy them, and found out that they were selling them at the door hours in advance.

I just found this and thought it was kinda funny, because we actually did get several brand new members, who were just there for the tickets, into the show. If there is another screening we are pretty much gonna start from where we left off. Sorry we didn;t get enough last time. although we did manage to find a few extra WHILE we were in line walking towards the theatre. those kinda had to go to whoever was hanging around :-)
