Anyone have any idea if the cast and crew of Serenityare going to the San Diego Comic-con this year. I saw them there last year, and would go again if I knew they were going to drop in again!

Most likely they will be and I'm willing to bet that there will be a screening as well.

The official listing should be up in about 3 weeks.

I doubt they'll screen the whole movie, but I'd be STUNNED if Universal didn't send the whole passel of BDH's plus Joss, and some yummy footage. I mean, this event is HUGE--they get big stars there promoting genre movies. Our gang are small beans by comparison. If they went last year, long before the release date, they are that much more likely to go this year, 2 months before the opening.

However, good luck getting a hotel room. There's apparently a big baseball game that weekend, so hotels are tight. . . .

I've been going to comicon since 1999 so I got my hotel room booked in January. I'm trying to help friends get their book published so I get to go on a pro pass. Woo hoo!

I heard about the baseball game. That will be an interesting clash of geeks and jocks in a confined area.

What I mean by the screening is usually they screen a movie for a select group of say 200-500 people. Last year there were a few including Sky Captain. It's tough to get tickets unless you know the right people or your at the right place at the right time. I missed seeing Bubba Ho-tep one year because the cut off line was three people ahead of me. This was more than 2 years before the movie finally came out. I was majorly bummed.

Keep your eyes and ears open and you might fall into some tickets. Best of luck to us both!
