Oh and Hi to everyone on the forums. I bought the firefly dvds about a month ago and I was was totally blown away it is without doubt the best series I have ever seen. I cant wait for the film!

I believe that there are screenings in the UK at some sort of convention. There are a bunch of posts about that over on the boards at serenitymovie.com if you want to go over there to read them. You have to join in order to read the message board posts but it's free and they don't sell your email address.

Welcome to the board. Universal are currently expected to do UK screenings during August.

Edited to add: in response to the post above, the screenings are not being held at the London Comic convention. However, attendees will have the opportunity to register to see a preview.

SLAYERFEST

A tour is being arranged by UIP the UK distributors of Serenity. The idea is to hold screenings in several large UK cities (the talk is of 4 at the moment) as pre-release screenings which would kick off towards the end of August.

They are not taking requests for locations and there are no further details on how to get tickets at the moment.

Some people will be ecstatic others will be gutted cos they won't see it, but remember this is a special privilige not a right. The film WILL be on general release later.

With regard to the London Film and Comic Con, UIP said they did not know anything about a special screening for LFCC attendees only and so the news there is that if they have a special screening it must have been arranged through Universal and is not part of the promo tour being arranged to promote the movie over here.

Of course, we've already had two screenings of the film in the UK, before any American fans got to see it (that is, unless they were lucky enough to get into one of the random previews).
