This is a little bit of a Saint rant.

I made meself a shiny "Some people juggle geese" tank top. I've been wearing it around proudly but no one has commented on it, with the exception of my friends. WEll, actually, someone thought it said "some people juggle cheese." Agh. Where have all the browncoats gone?! (that's makin' me think of that paula cole song, "where have all the cowboys gone." someone could parody that!)

*sigh*

Oh my goodness. If I saw you wearing that shirt, I would be *begging* you to tell me where you got it. Us browncoats are just too damn spread out!

I think I might make my own "Some people juggle geese!" shirt...

Ah, we shall now be known and recognized for our shirts. I may have to whip up a geese shirt too. It will be a nice Firefly addition along side my blue sun top. It's like one big inside joke that only the Firefly fan's seem to understand. Simply seeing all of the fans at this site alone you think more people would get it.
Personally I hold that Firefly fans are waiting. We are standing back, letting the mindless reality shows blow over. Waiting for the perfect opportunity to rise again. Don’t worry Saint, when that moment comes, you’ll see the fans again... and I’m betting plenty will be wearing “Some people juggle geese” shirts.

Chin up Browncoat we'll rise again. When you give up, is when you are truely defeated.

So liven up wear your shirt, sing the Firefly theme and preach to the cattle of Reality TV, show them the error of their ways and point them to the light-

-Got a little preachy there.

I am actually a bit into the process of making a t-shirt with a screen-cap of Wash holding his dinosaurs, and underneath it says, "curse your sudden but inevitable betrayal" I love that scene so much. I never fail to laugh. I was having trouble with my capturing initally, and I couldn't get just the right shot. But I have worked it out. I am making one for Succatash too. He's my buddy. I am glad that there are others saints doing the same thing. (he he) I have had delusions of finding new Firefly friends this way...you know...wearing it to work and around town and whatnot. I've had whole made-up conversations in my head with Firefly fans that I would like to believe are in my area.

Maniac, I want that shirt! I'm glad i'm inspiring other fans. Mine's a pretty black tank with a picture of Wash and pretty blue writing that says "some people juggle geese." The only problem is that Wash's head is getting a little cracked because overwearing and um... stretching from the general nature of a tank top

I also hope that there are other browncoats around. I would love to meet some more, and i would love to encounter someone else displaying their love for firefly. I have one friend who wears a blue sun t-shirt, but i made it for her, so i guess it doesn't count.

Alright, you guys have set me into tee-shirt making mode. Anyone out there got some great quotes or ideas of what would make a worthy firefly shirt? I've already got the blue sun logo, and the "Some people juggle geese" quote.

From that same scene: "Mine is an evil laugh!" muttered almost under his breath just before the alarms go off.

Others...

Mal in War Stories: "Ah... the pitter patter of little feet in huge combat boots..."

Mal in Serenity: "We've done the impossible. That makes us mighty."

Inara (to Jayne) in Objects in Space: "No one's comfortable hearing what you're thinking."

Much like all things Whedon, Firefly provides very fertile ground for quote mining! Most of the quotes even sound great completely out of context.

Truer words were never spoken. Here are a few t-shirtworthy from FF (at least, IMO).

"I'll be in my bunk"

"Day is a vestigial mode of time measurement based on solar cycles. Not Applicable." on the front, on the back- "I didn't get you anything."

"No, THIS must be what going mad feels like."

"Morbid and creepifying, I got no problem with."

Hmmmmm... Cool T-Shirt one-liners.

How about "Time for some thrilling heroics"

"My darling Zoe,
My autumn flower,
Somewhat less attractive,
Now she's all corpsified and gross."

"Are you asking me to dance?"

"YES SIR, Cap'n Tightpants!"

"Sir? I think we have a problem
With your brain being missing."

"I met Saffron Reynolds and all I got was a killer hangover."

"My Captain went to the Special Hell and all I got was this Le-Se T-shirt."

"Can't come out!! Too much HAIR!!"

Twelve spheres of unendurable brightness spalled the velvety blackness of space.
The silence on Lester Tourville's flag bridge was absolute
And then the spell was broken as Shannon Foraker looked up from her console from where she had just sent a seemingly innocent command to the main computers of State Security's finest Superdreadnoughts.
"Oops." She said.

Lovin'- "Time for some thrilling heroics"!

Oh, and Physics,
Go to your local computer store, like an Office Max and pick up a package of T-shirt transfer paper. It should be near the regular printer/copier paper. If you plan to put a graphic on a dark shirt you may want to pick up transfer paper that is made specifically for dark colored material. Then grab yourself the nearest cotton or poly cotton blend shirt, (other kinds of shirts will work just not as well) an iron, an ink jet printer, and a hard surface. That is usually all you need. Inside the package of transfer paper there will be specific instructions and each brand's instructions may vary slightly. For the most part all it takes next is for you to print your graphic (make sure to flip it or the words will be backwards) and iron it onto your shirt. You peel the paper off and presto! Instant Firefly shirt. Okay well not instant, the ironing may take a moment or two. But almost instant Firefly shirt!

You folks just gave me this evil idea. I work at a wastewater plant. It would be fun if I wore a shirt to work that had "Mudder's Milk" in big bold letters.

Next time I watch "Jaynestown" I should take note of its ingredients. Then I could put them on the back of the shirt.

Spreading Browncoat loyalty is a worthy challenge.

Kathryn: Thanks! Sounds so easy, why didn't I do this before? If I can get away from school early enough today, I'm going to go get a new colour printer cartridge, some transfer paper and some t-shirts... I think I'm in need of a Blue Sun t-shirt!

Everyone is in need of a blue sun top. It's nice to hear more and more people are enjoying their personalized Firefly apparel. I am still waiting patently to see someone walk down the street in a blue sun t-shirt, or a mudders milk top so I can come up behind them and whisper "And every breath we drew?" If they don’t run screaming from me, but instead answer “was Hallelujah” I’ll freak out. Can’t wait.

Whoops. I sometimes forget that there might possibly be some Firefly fan who has yet to read Sarah’s fics. Physics, next to the community button at the top is a button that reads blue sun room. Go there. Yes, this is a command. Go to the blue sun room. Once there read Sarahetcs firefly fans fan fic's "Browncoat chronicles". It'll all make sense and when someone whispers "Every breath we drew" you'll know to answer "was Hallelujah". Maybe I wont come up behind you either, that might take out some of the scare factor.
